this ride rules it was so worth the 21 hour drive here from ireland ( a bout, the euro tunnel, and 700 miles there and back ) just to get on this and rock 'n' roller coaster

De La Terre A La Lune was the orginal in paris which opened in 1995. It has different music score and different special effects. Based on the Jules Verne Novel Journey to the moon. Misison 2 was installed in 2005 with brand new special effects and music score. It is a more techno dance piece. Mission 2 is amazing. And the launch is longer then De LA Terre a la lune!
I went on Space Mountain Mission 2 in Disneyland Paris, So funny! My face was pale but my ears were red cause I kept banging my head off the side bars on it! LOL!
Oh man I went on this twice in a row on a school residential trip to paris! I swear I could've spent all day on space mountain, but we had a couple of friends waiting for us outside who were pretty pissed off when they found out we'd been on twice!
I remember one time when I went to Disneyland Paris and I went on this roller coaster. After we we finished the ride me, my sister and her friend were just waiting at my parents while they were shopping. When I was looking at the Space Mountain Mission 2, It stopped while it was counting. It was so scary to watch. They couldn't move cause if they did, they would have fall. There had to come people help them to get them out, one by one. Luckily no one got hurt.

This is a really cool ride but i bruises on both my kness and i had a sore head when i came off it. Soo worth it. Best seats are at the back cause the launch at the back is amazing!

I reckon this is Disney's greatest ride. The work that went into it is phenomenal. How it takes me back; I haven't been on it in 3 years, but I've always got Alton Towers to quench my need for coasters.

There has always been a launch on space mountain in paris. The launch was the entire point of the ride. As jules vernes book states how we will in the future be launched into space by a giant caboon (cannon) But terre a la lune had a shorter launch due to it "loading" you into the cannon. Where as mission 2 uses the entire launch track for the launch.:)

The whole ride, with the exception of the launch, is only dimly lit and very cool.
Yes it goes fast in the tunnels when it launches, butt it slows down at the top. Before the launch there's a little drop what speeds up the train, butt thats not extremely fast ore something. What I know is that the little drop gives a nice feeling in the stomach :). (sorry for the bad english)

I was there in April with my school, It was AWESOME!!! SUM of the best high school memOrys! we went on THIS about 5 times, but on the last time it broke down for about 45mins. we were hardcore enough to wait and while others left we got to the front quicker! They managed to get 1 of the 2 cariges workin and tested it thourghly but they didnt test the other (they were gettn lazy by then) and we were first on the untested 1, and it was the BEST RIDE EVER!! IT WENT TWICE AS FAST AS B4! lol
Yeah Rollercoaster is more faster, but space mountain mission 2 IS SO GOOOOOD !! In this ride, you are really like in space. It's just fantastic . The begining is faster (1:25) and after, just WOAH ! Looping and more ! But after, 15 minutes to understand where i was =) . Indiana Jones is also good but it's short. Rollercoaster in the studio is the best ! (sorry for my english i'm french)
@Gigidag77 That's unlucky. When I went (Back in February) the ride was in full working order. I thought the ride was great, the anticipation on the launch and not knowing what came after that launched made it a great experience.

this attraction is one of the better on Disneyland Paris ! i'm french and when i go to Disney, it's THE attraction that I want absolutly to do ^^ ! you are mad to film in the attraction lol
@TheLongdongo I didn't notice I went upside down on it. Its pitch Black in there and its really disorientating, but I'm pretty sure there was a loop and a few corkscrews.
There are 2 inversions and a sidewinder that turns the trains a 135° (I think they don't call that an inversion, because it doesn't turn the trains a 180° upsidedown :) )
@tab9991 If i can't remember there is 1 vertical loop and many cork screw loops Rockin Rollercoaster in Paris is the best for me... its soooooo dam fast
@mutation173 What do you mean 'junk'? It clearly says in the video description that this music is 'He's a pirate' by Tiësto. This music is NOT used on the ride, it's just that the video creator chose to use this music because he thought it went well with the video.
Vekoma is Dutch & Dutch is the best.:D (Vekoma is a huge rollercoaster factory, it has made many coasters, including space mountain and rock'n'rollercoaster.)
everytime i go to dysneyland i wait in line for this ride but it always closes and i never get on it :( but im going to paris next week so hopefully i will get on it :D xx

Was just there 2 weeks ago, and they did not have that steam effect when the rocket / coaster goes off ... very nice video editing !

Well it pushes you back into your seat and if you relax you dont really feel much but its not as intese of launch like rock n rollercoaster.

lol a loop it has more than a loop i went on it last year it was pretty cool. It twists and loops the whole time and moves you about hard.

No. The hulk blasts you THROUGH the lift. This ride just blasts you to the top of the lift then slows down.

The idea is that you get launched into space, you have to be outside for that before you're in space. You just don't get the concept.
