For those wanting to step up to a large aerobatic airframe but with limited time to build and select the right combination of electronics the FMS Extra 330 solves all your problems. All the selecting complimentary components (such as motor, ESC and propellor) and the hard work of assembly has been done for you. After taking the low number of components out of the box it takes a small number of minutes to put this airframe together. Then simply drop in your receiver and setup your transmitter.
Recommendation is for 2 x 6S4000 packs but we opted for 5000mah capacity packs and this Extra 330 still balanced out perfectly at the recommended CG mark.
In the air this Extra is fast and responsive due to the huge power delivered at the prop and the quick movement of the servos. Execute aerobatic and 3D moves you see show pilots perform at RC shows including knife edge spins, pop tops and hovering with easy punch out if you get in trouble! The only limitation is the skills of the pilot...but with regular practice using this Extra 330 there is no doubt your skills will improve with each flight.

I'm curious about how loud this model is. More specifically the dB at 10m distance would be very helpful. The reason is that my flying field has some noise restrictions but I really would like to get this model. (Otherwise a smaller one will have to suffice.)
a tip : you can watch movies on KaldroStream. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.

This plane is the same price as the servos alone if you build a balsa arf of this size. Good deal.

Haha, no worries you did a brilliant job, Maybe it's just me but I do like watching the flare and touch down for some reason.
Peter Ridley I also like to see the landings and was gutted that I overshot it on landing. However with us filming the first genuine flights it does not always go right. Watch this space for the next vid 👍🏻

Wow, I wonder how they can make it for that price. I just wanted to buy the PA Ultimate AMR60, but they are out of stock. As a combo version with propulsion and servos it would cost the same as this one. And it is a biplane with 1300mm wingspan at 2.2kg.
Yeah and that wouldn't arrive ready to fly. I put a price on my time not just the components.

Props off to TheTrev 😁 Does TheTrev think they could do a 'Pro' version of this with snappier servos? Some of those other 3Ds you've posted seemed to snap around much faster, or was that just TheTrev not pushing it too hard on the first flight?
Not pushing it hard and on some of this we were running the servos at a lower 5 volts. There is a switch connected to the ESC to run them at 8.4 volts. When we get some Sun we'll get The Trev out again and get it down on the deck.

Big, ready to fly planes like this get discontinued so quickly that if you really want something, you almost need to get it as soon as it's available, because you might be getting the last one.
Presumably, a model of this size would have to be flown at a club rather than at a park, for example?

Most people take them off if you fly from grass. Think of it as UTILITY! lol
@@twest344 Yeah, they do look awesome, but they do tear up very easily.
I know people often take them of. But fitted correctly and properly reinforced as most of them are to weak from factory and often slightly larger wheels they last hundreds of flights on grass fields. I always use them 🙂

There is always one, hardly clickbait but keyboard warriors must mash those keys. You would hope anyone buying one of these would have an ability to check a spec and know what they are buying considering it’s hardly a first model.
