My wife and i have been binge-watching all your vegas videos and literally penning our itinerary from them. Thanks for all the info!
He's a big help for sure!
Never get tired of your Vegas material!!.. please keep up the excellent work.. NOBODY does it anywhere close to you!!!!
MGM is still one of the best hotel for the value. I remember staying there 4 years ago booking a normal King bed. Not the lowest price one but the second strip view one. All i did was asked if there is a complimentary upgrade, Im not even part of some special club, she just upgrade us to a very nice suite with the trip view. I was shocked but our room was super clean and awesome. I went back and tip her greatly.
MGM Grand was my introduction to Vegas, and it epitomizes everything about Vegas.... BIG and GRAND!!! At one point I considered it my home away from home. I have enjoyed many other properties since, but MGM always holds a special place as my first. Thanks Coolist for capturing the best of MGM.
I don't know why you don't have 100k subs yet. Great quality professional videos
Your hosting presence, choice of content, informative dialogue as well camera work and editing is outstanding! You really make the viewer feel like they are right there for the experience.
James, I’d love to see a review of all the “attainable” luxury suites at luxury hotels. No presidential or top rooms, but one or two steps above the basic hotel room. I don’t like the basic rooms and the presidential suites are too spendy. Love your channel!
MGM Is my favorite for vibe, pools, everything except location!
As a bartender at the MGM Grand, I approve this message. Lots of food options, lots of rooms(5500) lots of bars, lots of shows, the pool is fantastic, and plenty of elbow room. There's something for everyone here. You'll never be bored...
Very dope! Their is a lot of Vegas CZcamsrs but yours hit different man! Keep it up!
This hotel is close to my heart. It was the second hotel I stayed at when I first started exploring Vegas. I haven’t stayed there in years but after seeing this I may be booking soon!
@9:30 In the kitchen a chef drops a towel and picks it up and it touches the clean one and he seems to be pretty casual about it,. That is quite concerning...
This is my Las Vegas "home." I love this place. I was there just two weeks ago and I booked two full days on a DayBed by the Lazy River.
Great property and excellent review, James. Keep up the awesome work!
I got hyped up watching this video mgm said I can get a room for 29$$ leaving tomorrow!
The lazy river is so fun. Best to go on a weekday when it isn’t so crowded. I personally don’t like MGM because it’s TOO big. Takes 15 min to walk from your room to the Uber/Lyft station. I’d stay there again, but it wouldn’t be one of my top choices. Those cocktails look amazing!
Never knew this immense hotel had so much snap, crackle and pop!
The button up shirt you’re wearing in the opening… please post the brand and style. It is fire 🔥
I agree - very stylish shirt👍
I agree with how you feel about the MGM! We absolutely love it, it's fun, and not overly pretentious!
Everytime I watch your videos it gets me hype for another visit
The MGM was my go to before 4 stays at the Cosmo ,then it was the Venetian. Now I just booked a weekend in August at the Circa.. Thanks James for all your videos. 👍✌🙏
I watch a lot of Vegas content and I love that your videos are so in depth. A lot of other CZcamsrs seem to gloss over so much! I like that you touch on so many different factors so no one feel excluded.
Chika at the Venetian combines classy with cool in my mind.
Loving the content!
Great review and I totally agree MGM Grand rocks. My recommendation would be to consider staying at the MGM Signature. You can get a huge balcony suite with a kitchenette and whirlpool tub for the cost of most regular rooms elsewhere in Vegas. There’s a nice moving walkway to MGM Grand. You have access to the MGM Grand pools but MGM Grand does not have access to the Signature’s pools. MGM Grand is just a ton of fun.
Agree wholeheartedly, stayed at Signature in 2011 and loved the experience and glad that it still gets a great review! Thank you Bryan 🙌🏻
I much prefer staying mid strip or more north like Palazzo and Wynn. The MGM will always be legendary and a Vegas icon but as far as location goes these days with so much now being concentrated mid strip, its all the way south on the strip which kinda makes it feel secluded and isolated, sure your a quick Uber ride away from anywhere on the strip but the very south end is not well connected and feels like the much older and less developed section of the strip, the mid/north end will continue to grow and only get more crowded as visitors flock to the newest properties like Resorts World and FB.
In my opinion, the best part of the strip starts on the west side at City Center and then goes North all the way up to Wynn/Encore and then that area should continue to see more development connecting up through Resorts World which is a bit secluded but very well positioned for future growth on the strip.
We'll be staying here later this year to review and vlog...is there a restaurant/bar that you recommend us to try? 🎉 Wynn will always be our favorite!!!
MGM Grand was the first hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas! I went to a Shaq Comedy Show and saw Jamie Foxx kill another comedian when he bombed!🤣
I went to an after party at Studio 54 too and that was really cool, I miss that club and the lion's mouth entrance they got rid of over superstitions!
There's so much there now, I need to at least visit it again!
I always play the slot machines at MGM! The quality of the casino is world class. The key is not to play high limit but to play regular slots with max bet.
Definitely one of the best hotel’s in vegas.
Fantastic job again james, and like I said before you get better with every video you make. Great work 👏🏻
appreciate all the restaurant and drink reviews, limits the experimentation disappointments
Your videos are amazing 👏
Great video highlighting the food and pool. I remember when the MGM Grand was new and the biggest hotel in the world.
I stayed at the MGM Grand on my first trip to Vegas. I had a blast! Customer service was excellent! My room was large and spacious. Finally, I like the money-green lighted exterior.
MGM Grand seems to be the first Vegas hotel for a lot of people, just like Hilton Hawaiian Village is usually the first Hawaiian hotel people stay at!
@@grottorabbit Idk for some reason the MGM Grand comes across as too big for my taste and too far away from The Grand Canal Shoppes and The Forum Shops. And it not really having a theme compared to most other hotels is also a let down.
Edit: When I was researching hotels on the strip I liked the pool though.
@@onee I usually stay at VDARA now, so theme isn't important to me
@@onee that may be true . But as a person that has spent my last ten years doing Caesars properties at center strip , I have changed my direction and I am spending my two weeks south strip at MGM properties I hope I like my decision. Lol.
Sitting at the bar watching them cook is an experience in itself. That spot is on my Vegas bucket list. Look forward to your food videos
Where do you get your sport coats? Especially that one with the mini skulls on it.
MGM Grand is where I'm planning to spend a week of Spring Break in 23. I was married in my early 20's but now that I don't have that problem anymore, hanging around places like The MGM Grand have proven to be a lot more fun...
Love International Smoke, had their salmon and then chocolate lava. Great servers as well there.
great job . very informative. cool spam drink.
Thank you so much for all the videos I have become obsess with them, love Vegas coming back in September can't wait😊😊
Just stated watching your videos... Love them all.. MGM Grand is a Beautiful property. Saw David Copperfield there twice... A fan of Burgers and Japanese as you are... Jean Georges at Aria still one of my favorites as far as presentation... can be absolutely fabulous as you have presented here The two Joel Roubechon venues were wonderfully presented ... Thanks for noting and pointing out the differences as I plan to visit one or both on my next trip to Las Vegas.... Safe travels.... Best, Rudy
Not my kind of hotel, but love watching your reviews, well done as usual.
Stayed at the MGM the 1st time we went to vegas. Then 2 years later stayed at the mandalay bay. For me the MGM was much more fun and had a better atmosphere.
Thank you, James! Great review. Especially since you stayed in the way far West Wing. That just goes to show that you really know your hotels and are not swayed by least expensive wing of this massive hotel resort. I have always loved MGM Grand because it is! CAB😊
Love your channel. Will be retiring there lots of good info
I've been to Vegas so many times but have never stayed here. Your video has convinced me that we should give it a try . We love a good pool. Also would find a review of Luxor from you interesting. Thanks for the video!
I stayed there last year and had a wonderful time. We ate at International Smoke and the food was absolutely amazing. We loved the pool. We also saw the Jabbawockeez. Great review.
Another awesome vid. Thanks.
Great Review. Staying in October and you hit all of the info I wanted. Glad my daughter chose MGM Grand for this year. I chose Paris last year. Nice but hit will be different.
Thank you for the content!
loved the visuals
BRO I gotta say, most CZcams channels like this, BLOW!! Usually stop watching after a few seconds. Yours is done right man, and that's a HUGE compliment coming from me, do trust me! Keep it up man, I'm thinking about starting a channel with my daughter, and this has inspired me. However, I'm in NC, so we will see? Well done mate!! Well done. love how you show the food and drinks descriptions etc. keep it up.
Thanks for the great review. Staying for 6 nights early October. Gonna experience it all. OMG those short ribs!!
Мой любимый MGM
good video....supported by both what you say and what you show....there are so many travel commentary videos....too many in my opinion....BUT some do stand out...I am impressed by your work and will thus likely look into more of your site THANKS
I'll be staying at the Signature in February and definitely look fwd to checking out MGM. Especially after seeing this video. Thank you
Cool video.
Ty...agree 100 percent...its a fantastic overall hotel!
I went to L’atalier in October and sat at the bar. Easily my top dining experience. I went with the seasonal tasting menu. I recognize some of the chefs too!
Dude, Have you hit up the Zero Latency VR experience. It's street level in the level up section where you had your pizza.
If you've never done it, highly recommend it.
I agree with that, best all around. Planet Hollywood (nicer rooms, location) & Mirage (nicer pool) comparable with it.
Whiskey down is one of my go to places to sit and enjoy a cigar and a nice drink
i remember when you had only 10 views in 2020. great channel killing it
Thank you for your review of MGM❤️
MGM was the first hotel of many I've stayed at over the years in Vegas. Have to say it blew me away many years ago! still one of my favs!
Been going to Las Vegas once or twice a year since the late 1990’s and have stayed at MGM Grand several times. It’s a huge property with a multi purpose arena and the Las Vegas Monorail is located in the rear of the property.
We'll be staying here later this year to review...is there a restaurant/bar that you recommend us to try? 🎉
Well I’m in need of a vacation and it’s creeping in My soul. I’m looking into Fall to go to Orlando’s universal studios for Halloween but I don’t know this Vegas trip might be more like it. It’s for my 43 bday in September so not sure yet what I’m choosing but I’m binge watching your channel today and it’s got me swaying lol!!
do vegas :)
Staying at the MGM Grand next Sunday for the first time. I have rewards and got a really great deal for the night. Can't wait!
You do good videos!
You know, you do great camera work! I was a cameraman (woman) for a small tv station and really appreciate it done well. 👍 I'm liking this place.
Sei que bom curtindo ,bastante bom pra você..
I stayed there once too many kids too big not impressed with the rooms I prefer the north end but the restaurants looked divine👏🍽 your the best James thank you!!
Great info! My wife and I went to Hakasan in Miami not too long ago and were kind of disappointed. Might need to give it another when we’re in Vegas in a couple of weeks 🤔🤔
Back in the early 90s my entire family would always check in this hotel back when it was still brand newish nonetheless it’s still an awesome hotel to this day. Me n pops met Mike Tyson one early morning in the elevator like 5am. Me n brother shook hands w Suge Knight & Tupac after the Tyson/Bruno fight when fight got out n a limo was waiting for them plenty of memories from this hotel! 🫶🏼
We were at the MGM Grand last week. Absolutely loved our stay. We were comped a StayWell Executive King Suite. Will definitely want to go back. We enjoyed great meals at American Cafe, International Smoke, Tom Colicchio’s Craft Steak, The new Restaurant by the Jonas family, Wolfgang Puck, etc. oh yes, the New York pizza place hidden away in the back. Delicious! casino was also great. We played and played and played. Awesome stay. Highly recommend the MGM Grand. Be sure to get a players card! 😊🎰🎰🎰
I recommend checking out the stay well room and floors at MGM. Comfort and when getting off the elevator great. I meet most amazing host in lobby for all clubs/pool parts. MGM enjoyable for everyone.
I like the New York New York. One word rollercoaster. I always win on the big slot machine at the bottom of the escalator.
I love the MGM pool
Miss when it first opened and had the Oz theme
I’m pleased you had such a nice stay at MGM Grand, and you make excellent points about the property and their offerings. Personally, I prefer the quieter, more comfortable atmosphere at NoMad/Park MGM close by, and visit MGM Grand restaurants on occasion. But for families and younger travelers there to party and attend concerts or sports events in the area, MGM Grand is a nice, value choice.
Have you seen what people say about the MGM Grand on Trip Advisor, it’s rated a Dump !
@@petrus666love no, because I’ve never wanted to stay there.
MGM was the first hotel I stayed in and it was the best for the value so far. Its really great....
great video - thanks for uploading 1440!!!
Stayed there 3 times and it is a very good hotel.
Been staying there since 2010. Tried other properties but always go back to the grand....plus we get 25% off at the food court for military!
Living vicariously through you. Thank you for the great content!
I Stayed at the MGM Grand A year ago It is the best hotel i have ever stayed in by far because of location, restraunts and food, pool and your right on the strip next door to hotel Planet Holloywood and many more top tier hotels like the Bellagio, Aria and Park MGM right the same area. MGM Grand is the best its not even close!
We'll be staying here later this year to review...is there a restaurant/bar that you recommend us to try? 🎉
Yes!! All the cheap eat places are good if you want to save a money. For bars and restaurants to have great drinks and apps. I would choose the Taps Sports Bar & International Smoke.
@@Stay100media Awesome, thank you! We usually spend 24 hours or so when we vlog at a strip location, but we're thinking about booking two nights so we don't do a "half ass" job while filming LOL
Cheap eats they have a Subway that stays open 24/7, Johnny Rockets Burger Joint, Pizza place thats stays open 24/7, and dont forget The MGM All you can eat Grand Buffet opens at 7am close 2pm i believe. I actually went to vegas this past April Also and stayed at Planet Hollywood and Im coming back in 8 weeks and Im staying At MGM Grand again for second time. I love Vegas! Im from Kentucky lol
@@Stay100media Nice, we're from Reno, Nevada! Most of our content is filmed in Vegas, but we still film here in Reno and Portland when we get the chance! One day we'll make it out to Kentucky!!! ✨🎉
Wow, your slot rules are so smart... Glad we spent so much time on a -EV game strats
I liked the design of those West Wing Kings but I might like the new design more
James as always thank you my brother , your content rocks, I’m looking for the best of , not the cheapest of . Thank you !!! My question is .I have said previously , in September I’m gonna try le cirque and mizumi to compare. But my friend and I are at odds. I want to try hakkasan but my friend is set on l’atellier de Joel Robochon. And I swear we hold no grudges because each would be an experience , but which would you recommend if we don’t do both? If we do both ,we will send our recommendation for dispute or agreement lol. Love your stuff my friend. Thank you for what you do. Stephen
How did you like the sliders at L'Atelier? I always add bacon when ordering burgers, but foie gras on a burger is so much better. Looks like you are having a great time. Can't wait to see what's next!
Juniper is one of our favorites, its predominantly gins. Last time we were there they were unfortunately out of a lot.
Coolist! I have a Punta Cana question for you. Do you have any airport transport / shuttle services that you would recommend? I am going to RIU Republica next week. Thank you!!
The shorter front tower is the Marina Hotel (from the past).
Amazing video. We have a reservation for Mirage for September but now I’m wondering if we should reconsider?! Would love your opinion. We are staying 5 nights but it’s our first time
Depends on what you are looking for. Flamingo is
1) More reasonably priced.
2) Better location as far as middle of the strip. Better for walking. Closer to Ceasars and Bellagio which have lots going on.
3) Better pool with foliage, animals and shelves to lay on.
I’m convinced. I’ll buy $2 billion in MGM stock tomorrow. I meant $20 in stock that will be worth $2 billion
Thank you for all the great content! I’ll likely never be able to visit all the places you go to, you make it accessible and fun to dream about the possibilities. Cheers!
Naw…I had an old drink with the cherry spilled out on my floor…Resorts World is a step up‼️‼️💯
I'd be curious to see what you think about the renovated king rooms.
I'll go out on a limb here. I don't disagree totally. But, the place is just *too* big: sure it has everything for everyone but everyone fails to find everything - so they go wandering elsewhere.
Vegas has so much else to offer beyond just staying in your hotel.
I went to whiskey down to try the Hawaiian gentleman. The bartender never heard of it
I asked them about this just a couple days ago and I had the same reaction. I thought maybe it had come off the menu since this video was a year old, but you seemed to have asked for it very soon after this video was dropped. A real shame that others can't seem to get the menu items shown in this video.....
Me and my wife try to only stay at the mgm it's honestly the best hotel I've been to in Vegas.
