OMG, what a find! I was actually at this show. The first big concert I ever attended. Slaughter and Winger opened. RIP Eric Carr!!

The old London Gardens was a great place to see a big band back-in-the-day. My first rock concert was here in July '77, it was KISS with Cheap Trick opening. I too saw this HITS show in London, albeit savagely loud, it was glorious.

30 years ago today! It was a Saturday night. Loudest concert I've ever been at. Have had tinnitus ever since.... but it was worth it..... I think.

It's a small hockey arena with a low ceiling, if you notice the 'stacked and flown' PA on either side of the stage literally goes from the rafters to almost touching the arena floor. That set-up is usually intended for larger venues such as MLG, yet I agree the sound volume was massive overkill. I saw KISS with Cheap Trick at the London Gardens in July '77. They had stage mounted amps piled to the rafters, in the days of air-suspension speakers and drivers. Those bad-boys were cranked so loud the sound blew the hair of the KISS members when they stood in-front of them. It sounded like a jet-engine going-off in my head for three days after the show.

The HITS tour in 1990 was truly the 'non-makeup era' comeback tour for the band. They played places they had not been to since the 70s, reconnecting with their hardcore fanbase. It worked well, probably beyond the bands expectations.

What a fantastic show it was. In a small Canadian hockey arena in one of the many 'lost cities' of previous KISS tours. Slaughter, Winger and KISS all for the general admission price of $22.50 Cdn. Now that's major bang for the 1990 buck. My very first rock concert was at this same London Gardens on July 18, 1977 tickets were $7.50 and Cheap Trick opened.

@@ChampippleD Hard to believe this show was 32 years ago, the band still played live with off-stage keyboard accompaniment in those days. Keep in mind they were all younger men, singing and playing songs most of which had not reached 'classic status' at the time. Perhaps the HITS tour should have been a KISS Alive 4 album.

If you in-reality actually did, fantastic job. Probably the best non-pro shot live video of the 'no-makeup' era. You did it all at the London Gardens, the place I saw my first rock concert in 1977. The sound and picture quality of this video are so good, it's worth a pitch to be included on Kissology 4 (whenever that happens).
