Thank you so much for this video, thanks to you I have been able to remove my defective radio and replace it with a working item purchased on line. You saved me an inconvenient trip to my garage. I would not have had the confidence to do it without your clear and carefully prepared video.

Nice instructions. I followed them closely and was able to exchange one comand head unit for another. Worth noting that the connector with the gray lever arms need to have the button pressed before the arm will move. Nearly broke it before working that out!

@@pedrog4221 It’s just a generic bojo tool that at the time of this video Halfords (UK) sold in a pack, as for other countries I’m sure any car spares store has similar.

Very good and simple guide. Are your rotary motors from the air vents working properly? Its common issue for w209 and c203 and Im looking for a good guide how to replace them. Greetings from Poland.

Sadly this was a customers car that I don't have access to now but I have a done a few vent repairs on them and it's a time consuming job that involves removing the top front section of the dashboard due to the vents being mounted behind the face panel.
The next time one of these comes in for vent repair I will try and video it if time allows.

To remove just the little stowage bin under the radio - it's a separate part - is it still necessary to remove the radio itself? Does it separate from the radio without requiring the radio to be unplugged etc. My radio is fine but the molded edges of the bin have been affected by sunlight and are breaking up. I got a new one for only $79 New Zealand so its worth doing to improve the looks, Strangely the rest of the black surfaces haven't been affected.

Hi, I have the same stereo, it suddenly stopped working, I checked fuse under the bonnet and tried the fuse by the steering wheel and both are good. Is there a fuse behind the stereo that can be changed? Thanks in advance 2006 CLK 240
