for the final evolution of the first grape and sheep pokemon, i reckon Baahchus wouldve been a good one, because it combines the 'baah' of a sheep and Bacchus, the Roman deity associated with wine, grapes, vines etc.

In actual pokemon games, they usually combine real locations to make a single region and even have pokemon based on animals, plants, etc. that aren't tied to the region's base. So don't feel like you have to limit to one area and its native inhabitants. Just have fun with it.
Actually, pokemon tend to almost always be connected to the region. Even if the animal isn't native from the real world counterpart history and/or other parts of it's design can explain it's location. Also, the combining multiple regions into one is a more recent thing, with Galar and Paldea being the only cases of that
The grass starters final stage could be named Ramble, as brambles are a plant, its a ram and drunk people can often ramble on drunkenly

I think Funtail could have an ability called “Color Wheel”. Color Wheel could make the opponent change into a type that is weak to the move you just used on it. Or it could be the exact opposite, where Funtail changes their type depending on the opposing move and makes it resistant to the attack. Similar to how colors on the color wheel have their own opposite complementary color. So pretty much the reflecting version of Protein and Rainbow.

I don't have a PC. I took a coding course a few years ago but it was too hard for me ^^' I'm a writer and an artist, and that's already something.

@DrCoeloCephalo Sorry, but no, Imma draw up my fakemon and put my story for Korlaya (and its more unique sequalized 3rd version) onto CZcams while just showing off the art on Deviantart. I tried to make a sonic like game, but I never got to the coding part as it may just be a bit too much for me. But I haven't gotten to the characters and actual story yet as I've been too focused on making a custom region map that holds small bits of inspiration as well as making the Korlayamon (fakemon but for Korlaya).
I love that Beevee has self destruct as one of it's notable moves lol.

Im really surprised you didnt care for the coconut poke.on cause I thought it was one of the coolest ones shown off, maybe better for a grass/dark type instead of grass/rock but still a good fun design. Sorta got a mimikyu vibe like "ooh whats actually under the coconut husk ooOOOOOOOoooOOo".

Yeah. Writing the story for the region and coming up with all the characters is, ironically, the easy part. The hard part is making all of the Pokémon. When making mine, I even came up with two new types, Sound and Cosmic, and a new Crocodile Pokémon called Ampligator and its evolution Synthodile, a Sound-Electric Pokémon that looks like a sound speaker, has a keyboard for a tail, records for feet, and dope ass sunglasses.
@@KingKayro87 dude, I'm also making a fan region whose whole gimmick is the Sound and Cosmic types, and I'm constantly going back and forth on how those two interact with other types. I recommend using the Interactive Type Chart from Cave of Dragonflies: it lets you make edits and add new types, as well as visualizing how type combinations would work.

You're not missing anything special with recent titles. If you ever do bother to play Pokemon games, play Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, XD Gale of Darkness, Black or White. Everything in the 3DS and Switch era sucks and the others I did not mention have their own set of issues. Even then, having played Pokemon ever since Red, Blue and Yellow myself, I can fairly say Pokemon is nothing special as far as monster collector RPGs go cuz so many of them outside of Pokemon have made serious advances including games like Dragon Quest and Shin Megami Tensei which did monster collecting years before Pokemon ever came out or newer monster collectors like Yo-Kai Watch 3 where just about NONE of Pokemon's issues exist.

I like the prior design aesthetically, but the one Soda preferred I think may actually fit better. Kinda has features on the scale of what Sylveon and Vaporeon did without looking like it's copying them. It's like a paper festival parade dragon to Sylveon's ribbon dancer motif. Just needs to render the art out more.

Impressed with how much editing and extra filming all the little cutaway gags must have taken, and the art is super cute!
I feel like this is how people should actually make fan stuff of... anything. Just have fun and go wild with it. I see a lot of people trying to match the art style, match the lore, match ecology, yadda yadda. Its a game, so... just have fun with it, ya know?
These are some great ideas, I like how they all seem like actual Pokemon and have a role in their environments! My favorite had to be Eyepom. An idea for that scrapped coconut pokemon could be some species of crab which uses fallen cocunuts as a shell, providing both shelter and camouflage to the crab. As for names, i'd call it Cocouflage, mashing together Coconut and Camouflage.
I'm obsessed with that grass starter and I think so many of these designs are such a natural fit. Also I need Beevee on principle
Your grass starter was probably my favorite, all three evolutions were pretty good, and sure beat the trend of the final evos for starters in the last couple of gens. Not that they're bad perse, but not a fan of them all needing to almost look anthropomorphic every time.

Well i feel inspired, so here’s some ideas for the signature moves for the starters based on what you’ve got:
Hammered Bash
Grass
65 BP
100% accuracy
The user bashes the opponent using their hard head, this move has a 30% chance to cause confusion and deals more damage if the opponent is confused.
Flash Bang
Fire
40 BP
100% accuracy
The user quickly flashes the opponent with their bright fiery tail feathers to flinch the opponent. This move only works on the first turn each time the user enters the battle.
Terrifying Maw
Water
80 BP
100% accuracy
The user intimidates the opponent with their large maw, if the user is attacked by the opponent the latter will take damage, if the opponent doesn’t attack their attack is dropped by 1 stage.

I prefer the older design for that Dragon Eeveelution, to be honest. I also don't understand why you threw out those coconut dudes, they look cool.
I don't have the artistic talent to bring my ideas to life but i love designing pokemon ecosystems and new pokemon that would help tie together the whole thing
I always enjoy watching other peoples' fanmade Pokémon regions. I love seeing their designs for the Fakemons as well as their region itself itself. My favourite has to be the Mazah region by Subjectively, he just puts so much effort into the lore and inspirations for each and every Fakemon.
Somehow, I really enjoy the freakier ones, like Scareel, Eyepom, the discarded coconut line and uh... Luvdisc Evolution. They could look pretty cool in motion.

I like how each stage of the grass starter's evolution serves a different role. The producer, the worker, and the protector.
As for the fire starter, I think Pukecoal is a fine name for the first form. Since a grenade is the inspiration for the second form, you could call it Pukenade. For the final form, maybe Rocketaka? That's a combination of rocket and...the bird's name. Rocket because you seem to have stuck with the idea of the fire coming from its backside.
For the water starter's second form, maybe you can call it Meelancholy?
Oh my goodness I have many things I want to comment on (feel free to take or leave it).
- The sheep are adorable and perfect especially the first two stages. For the final stage there's another comment that named it Baahchus and that's so fitting, giant rams bashing into each other to get crunk, maybe adding a toga made of wool-like foliage. the names for the first two work as well.
-The concept behind the birds is honestly really interesting and unique, but you could go further by integrating other kinds of birds like ratites, BoP and even the extinct Terror Bird, which already feels present in the final form. Maybe shift the name of the first to like, Popeko, the second form can be Flashen (Flash, swamphen) and the third like Crashorize (Crash, Flash, cassowary, terrorize)
-the eel is so cute i love him he will be my friend. with the next stages I'd recommend looking at other deep sea eels and sharks and integrate some concepts that could make the whole line really come together (I know sharks aren't eels but they're both fish and long and live in the deep so they can share), and since they have emotional states tied to their concept, eelation is great, maybe the next one is Angstyiel (Angst, Yield, eel) and the third could be Horreelfy (Horrify, eel)
-I like the stoat even with its simplicity and the shifty, robber like glare gives me vibes of "likes to plot and pilfer" but not to the point of it being dark, also the long one could be good at sneaking out of those capture crates you mentioned. something simple like Steasel (Steal, weasel) and long one can be Weasicle (Weasel, icicle).
-With funtail and its evolution maybe something like color change would better fit, I like their designs they are nice and fun and cool. As for the name maybe Spectrail (Spectrum, tail maybe quail too if theres inspo in there)
-EYEPOM 👁
-Honestly that luvdisc evolution is super creative and has a really strong concept behind it, and you have the freedom to either make a creature to have it protect from or just assign an already existing pokemon cuz you CAN do that! Maybe Luvclose (Love, Closed off) or something along the lines of lost love but still protects ones that haven't had their heart broken yet.
-Buhu's kinda brilliant, and the concept right now is still solid (although bug normal seems like it might fit too) but evos could be Cruhu (crysalis, huhu) and final could be Whackahu (Whack, whack a mole, huhu)
-HOW DARE YOU GET RID OF THE COCONUT CREECHUR THEY'RE PRECIOUS AND FRIENDS (jokes aside you're entitled to whatever you want to do but I feel like ppl would like them and the slot for a rock type is still open for them).
-Prankster spore fairy is fun and unique, really fills that niche of pokemon that is just creative without any one point where it draws inspiration. I feel like the middle form is a little out of place compared to the two others but that can be remedied (it may have already happened in your mind) Aggropelter is all I'll say. As for names, Passweed (lol), Pitchroom and Sporalette (Spore and Palette)
-Based on the vibe of the poison eeveelution I'd want to say Contageon, and the purple green colors really sell the poison typing, really does well to make it distinct from the what-was-once-gonna-be-poison-type Umbreon.
-HA TINY! I love it, Bumblebeeon really ham up the name it feels like there's endless fun to be had with this concept.
-I like the draw from chinese dragons specifically it's something I feel that's strangely untapped in pokemon, maybe shift the length side to either the middle or the tail cuz the short front legs so close to the back legs really make it seem like it can't move very well. I don't think chineseon will work either (obvi, joke) but maybe scaleon or Jiaolongeon.
-Make them electric fairy, otherwise no notes.
Overall I'm really charmed by your style and really like what you've come up with. Again feel free to take or leave any of these critiques it's your mind child after all. If you read all of this then thank you. Don't worry too much about copying from others as long as you put your own genuine time, thought and energy into it. Hope to see more soon!

I absolutely love the idea of the little rock-throwing guy, especially with the staining dyes. You could even have it to where each one has a different dye color, and they use the different colors to mark their prey or food or territory. Could even have a new special ability for such a thing.

As a fellow perfectionist and someone who until recently formed part of a failed CZcams project, I can very well appreciate all the effort that goes into the making of your videos. Although if I could make a slight recomendation, I would suggest you set up deadlines for yourself. I'm a recent suscriber, and noted there was a 6 month gap between your Backrooms video and the Sonic Frontiers one. Surely a result of the time that went into making the latter, however it can wane interest in both the game and your channel. I actually thought for a moment you actually got lost in the Backrooms and wouldn't come back. 😛
Try to upload something at least once a month, even if it's a smaller video like this one, or part of a larger series like you did with the Pokémon Sword & Shield review. For my part, I will try my best to promote you through my own social networks, because I think your work deserves it.
Man, those coconut guys looked fantastic! Not like mind-blowing or anything, but they're better than quite a few fakemon I've seen elsewhere. Though if you weren't satisfied with them, I respect that.
100% please make more of these videos, I'm already obsessed with the idea, not just on the new pokemon designs themselves but on how you'd depict a Pokemon region based on New Zealand and how the people living there incorporate all these things into their daily lives. This was great!

Best way to think of english Pokemon names is to look up synonyms, there's always at least 5 words for every concept.
I think Eyepom would work really well in Lockstin's Neo Ghetsis series.
I absolutely ADORE all of the pokemon Rad created here, and I had the genius idea of a regional Tinkaton that has a hook instead of a hammer that it uses to attack Solrock (like the story of Maui capturing the sun)

The lumchop line has to be my favorite! Pokémon never seems to fully flesh out the animalistic/ecosystem part and human-interaction part or the Pokémon, but you nailed both of them! I love that Lumchop is currently herded by humans for their berry tails, but those tails could also be used for food for themselves or even could also be a part of their “finding a mate” rituals (or that role could be the top berry for busheep). And having the berries ferment in the last evolution state? Perfect with such a stage in progression! So much great potential, and I like how you think.
I adore the mons you showed off! Would absolutely love to see more - and I’d absolutely go with Lumchop, Funtail and Chineseon on the team for this region.

I know a lot of Fakemon artists like to try to get as close to the official art style as possible, but I think it's cool when artists draw the designs in their own style.

It's enjoyable to see you show off your creativity to us and I definitely don't mind watching it, especially when you sprinkle in your inspiration from New Zealand's wildlife. As a watcher from the US it's cool to learn new things about animals from other places, and even if it isn't the main focus it's always a good time.
