For me, this song is the best released of the year. I love the jazz influence they used in this EP. Vitalism seriously inspires me to step out of my comfort zone as a guitarist and use more major chord voicing in my writing.
Also 5:14 makes me want to punch a dandelion in the face
That part makes my face melt so fucking away!
I really enjoyed this for this reason.
IMO the harder a person goes in metal, the better they are at all other types of music.
Examples:
Florian "Morean" Maier (of Dark Fortress, Nonucleid, Alkaloid) does some neo-classical compositions. He has done this for Devin Townsend Band too. I like the piece he made in the "Metal Dude in a Concert Hall" video.
Trioscapes and Nova Collective are side projects of Dan Briggs of Between the Buried and Me.
It seriously was such a refreshing tune.
