    Here in 2023. Newly retired lady & have some projects to get done. I was intimidated while researching compressors (use with pneumatic stapler/upholstery) and you have no idea how you've helped me NOT to be intimidated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    This is perfect! I’m just starting my carpentry career and while I’ve used the compressors at the worksite I just bought the exact model used in this video. I feel much better about using the compressor now. Cheers mate!

    Thank you! The explanation from 'box to using it' was exactly what I needed. I had no idea how to adapt the coupling on the hose to the tools. I really needed the clear explanation on how tools attach to the hose and how the hose attaches to the compressor. The shut down procedure was very helpful too. Your camera angle was perfect.

    Great video! This is the exact model of air compressor and connectors I bought in the spring, and am just getting around to using it with no idea how. Your video covering the break-in process, connecting the tools, start up, usage, and shut down was exactly what I needed to start using this tool. Thank you for the great step-by-step detail.

    I recommend you to fill up compressor, spray soapy water (Fairy) to every fitting you find on the compressor and look for air bubbles. If you find any leaks, unscrew the connection and use alot of Teflon tape to make it airtight.
    Believe me, I'm sure you will find at least one leak.
    Even from factory brand new unit. Often they leak from gauge connections.
    Good luck

    Thank you. This was very to the point and very informative. Exactly what I needed. I left out of lowes today with just a hose and a small accessory kit I already had. No real help today. I left out of Home Depot recently and before I loaded the dishwasher I had just bought the guy helping me load informed me I needed more accessories then I had. Wow. Now I need another trip back for the right kits that the store said they had online. I guess I need home depot instead.

    U wrapped your Teflon in the wrong direction but i guess it worked,thanks for the video it will definitely help people set up their own compressor and you are correct the plastic hose works but that's about the best thing about it .I had to replace the hose fitting and it was a nightmare to get it on the male barb so i could adapt the other fittings to screw on to the hose finally got out my heat gun and made it swell and soften enough to slip on the barb whoo that took a minute. Thanks for the time and effort you put in to help out.

    Great video. Question. My 2 yr old compressor has a broken guage (the one for the tank). The one for the tool or hose works fine. Is the compressor still safe to use?

    • @avflyguy
      @avflyguy Před 10 měsíci +1

      Yes.. You have 2 safety pressure release. 1. the compressor switch is set to shut it off at whatever working pressure to tank holds. 2. The safety 'pop off valve' that is set and can not be changed. If the pressure switch fails and it keeps on pumping, the the pop off valve with release pressure. Than, you're done till you figure out what went wrong.

      Just depends on the quality of couplers and hose you got. I have two cheap hoses and couplers I use on a smaller 8gallon compressor I don’t use all the time and it’s like that. But for my big 30gallon I use good quality hoses and couplers.
