When they lay me down someday
My soul will rise and fly away
This old world will turn around
I'll be at peace when then lay me down

Emmy brought me here, and I'm glad i got to meet her legendary grandmother 🥺
same here!
Same here. Her grandmother is a legend
RIP Loretta. What a true country legend. She paved the way for all female country singers today. That voice is amazing and she had to do so much to get her songs on the radio and to the public. Love this song with Willie.
legend, God bless her...
Rest peacefully Loretta.
Dear Reaper, bring back Loretta....and take Willie instead
@@SUGAR_XYLER no! Taylor Swift.
She was wonderful and authentic ❤
She was the Best Country Singer in the world. We miss her so much.
Only one Loretta or Willie and heaven with them having chosen Jesus is to be a marvelous place.
Loretta is 84 & Willie 83....
What a beautiful thing it is to be at peace with the inevitable.
Amen...they are Country defined...period
Willie is amazing
For God loved the pure of heart! Too! Brother lowry!

Willie is 88 and Loretta is 89 now. Still going strong
Beautiful. Not sad, but a tribute to strength and resilience. Tears in my eyes at its beauty and honesty. Thank you, Willie, and rest in peace, Loretta.
I feel the same.
Beautiful song.
I just came across this, WOW, why haven't I heard this before now? I've got it now.❤️❤️❤️❤️🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵🥰👏👏👏
Rest in Peace Great Lady. Been a fan since the sixties. Definitely my favorite. ❤❤❤❤❤
Two of the greatest singers of all time together - what a beautiful song!
Im not from the US but country music hit differently to me... thse songs carry a story with them. JUST beautiful 😍
Loretta Lynn, that voice, that smile, and those floor length gowns --- iconic. Rest in peace, lovely lady.

your spirit and songs will be here forever. oh God.
The real Queen Of Country. She was the best singer humanity will ever have. She’s with Patsy now. Her soul is at peace.
whom is Patsy ? I'm sorry , I never really followed Loretta's life until I watched her granddaughter on American Idol. Do you mean Patsy Kline?
Yes. @@Sean-st5ud
When those two looked at one another you could see the years melt away. How beautiful that these two dear old friends had another chance to sing together.

I'm not really a country music fan and knew little about Loretta Lynn. But I was listening to an independent local radio station the other day that plays a variety of music. They were doing a Loretta Lynn tribute and played this song. I was blown away. I came here looking for it. It is simply one of the best songs I've ever heard. Just stunningly beautiful. RIP Loretta. I wish I had discovered your music long ago.
We're never too late to find good music. That's one of the gifts Miss Loretta gave us. So much music that we can find when we need it
Her granddaughter and Willie’s son sang this together at her memorial
Just when you thought you've heard it all, the real stars come out to sing. Man, what a beautiful song!
Thanks for supporting my youtube channel with good comments, kindly contact me via email: lottaralynn@gmail.come God bless

The best male and female Country singers ever doing a duet! Fabulous!
bang on, different class
Yes, it's a beautiful song
I'm from morgantown, indiana usa. I'm 78yrs. Old. I grew up on country music. 😊
We are going to play this sunday at my Grandmother Jean's funeral. She was 82. Born in Cedartown Georgia and lived in Georgia all her life. She was a Queen, like Loretta Lynn.
RIP Loretta, you are finally at peace. The First Lady of Country Music has left the planet.
A legend singing with another legend you can't dislike that. This is pure country
Amen....
Here here
F-ing A guy!!!
It makes me laugh a little, when you can't not like this but over 2000 people disliked this. Perhaps they fear death and ageing and therefore fear living. There is a lot of life in this song, the performance, and the performers.
God bless you and yes i like and love it !
This is so beautiful! The song writer's need to take lessons from the last of our best ones we have left.
I had tears in my eyes and a smile on my face watching this! two legends singing, this is how country should sound!!
Yea you are right dean
I quibble. THIS IS how country sounds.
nothing better. and nothing today can compare
Amen!
this is country music the way it was meant to be - the way it should be
+jmarylastone ..... very true words ..... two real greats of the art
jmarylastone Agree, and none of this country/pop crap and Miranda-Gwen-Blake drama and Carrie Underwood, awful!
Dalton Sanders i still like blake
So true
"If your eyes are on me, you're lookin at country!"
My heart literally broke into a million pieces when I heard we had lost this one. She has been and forever will be 1 of my most favorites simply because she was a real one! She said what she wanted to say and didn't sugarcoat it and that's how it should be. She was 1 of the absolute greatest.
I remember showing her to my little one who at the time was in a princess phase, when she seen Loretta in her beautiful dress, it was purple dress, my baby girl gasp and said,
"Oh my goodness she's beautiful! I want a purple dress like hers! Is she a princess too Mommy?"
I said,
"No baby she's not a princess, she's a queen"
I immediately ordered my little princess a purple dress that looked as close as I could get it to the one Loretta was wearing. When it came and I let her open it the look on her face was EVERYTHING!
She would put her purple Loretta dress on, get her little guitar, get on top of our coffee table, play her guitar and sing her lil heart out.
I will never ever forget that and
I will never ever forget you Loretta.
Rest Easy In Paradise Beautiful Queen! 💜
Hello Tracyee
That’s just beautiful. Your little one will always have that memory. When mama bought me a Loretta dress ❤
Happy Thanksgiving from Texas to you Traycee 💕 hope you're having a good time today?
😊
How cute. My Mother s cousin, Bobby Hempker, played steel guitar in Loretta s band for many years so Mom got to meet her and she just thought she was the sweetest lady. Sometimes a little sad to listen as when Loretta Sings it sounds like my Momma singing . Same accent and all
Such a beautiful song by Country outlaw and Country Queen! Rest Loretta, at peace now! Love and miss you!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I cried like a child, this lady was such a part of my childhood. My daddy and I watched coal miner's daughter together since it came out on VHS. I was already listening to her music from the time I can remember. This ONE really hurt to hear! I am so grateful I FINALLY got to see her in concert, my daddy bought us all tickets and we went as a family. I ended up on the floor right up at the stage holding my toddler in my laps and she was so cute in her little pig tails and Mrs Loretta kept waving at her and smiling at her and at the end said how precious she was. That was a one of a kind moment that I will never forget. I lost my daddy in 2016. And this feels like another piece of my childhood died with her today. I am thankful she is finally at peace. She is in the huge concert hall in the sky, I bet it sounded even more beautiful today as she joined in. I was saying to my husband not long ago how bad I wanted to see Hurricane Mills 😭With out her it just wont be the same even if I got to visit now. It would probably feel so empty there now, makes me think of her lyrics of her own home in kentucky "nothing left but the floor, no one lives here anymore." 😭😭😭
That's so wonderful you got to see her with your whole family, and she even said something special for your daughter. I have deep ties to her music and her soul through my family as well, and your story made me cry like a pitiful baby boy. Thank you for sharing.
@@godiegolem Awww, thank you for sharing yours. That is what is so unique about her. She touches every age and different generations she was such a beautiful soul.
Today is October 9th and I'm still grieving for this great lady. I never met her or saw her in concert, but she was still a big part of my life. The coal miner's daughter finally got her wings.
@@shellyshadow73 Its a really hard day, today I lost my mother 16 years ago today, and then tomorrow both my grandmothers died just different years. My mother was only 52 when she passed away. And I turned 52 exactly 9 days ago. Puts things into perspective. And Loretta seemed like she was just so down to earth. Or that is how she even seemed in concert. Something special about her soul. I had a dream with her in it the other day it was so interesting.
I was raised in a holler in Harlan County KY just as Loretta and I've had the honor of shaking her hand..🕊️💐
IF THIS DONT GET RADIO PLAY OR NOMINATED FOR AN AWARD, THEN SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS GRAMMY MATERIAL!!!!!

brian chaput Thanx. Listen to the Island Pond transmitter?
Just a simple country girl from Kentucky whose music touched the entire world. You're at peace now, Loretta. 💖
What can I say about Loretta Lynn, as a fan, that hasn't already been said a million times before? I just love her...its as simple as that. Ive been payin attention to Loretta since the early 70's when I was a kid, hearing her sing country music on the radio, and through the Coal Miner's Daughter days to this day, and Im about to be 50 in a couple weeks! Im inspired by Loretta Lynn to be resilient, to not give up, to keep it real and be sincere, to be smart and keep moving forward. That's the take away for me from her music and her life that continues to be shared with us!
Thank you so much Loretta Lynn!
We lost this grand lady today. She left us with so much beauty.
This song is appropriate today.
I was walking across Nob Hill in San Francisco one afternoon. There was a bus parked out front of the Masonic Auditorium, which isn't unusual. But when I got up to it I saw "Loretta Lynn" on the side. I asked the driver why Loretta's bus was there and he said she was performing that night. I immediately went to the box office and bought a ticket.
I've only been to a few concerts. I've been pretty poor most of my life and concerts seemed like too much of a luxury, but I'd never forgive myself if I passed up on the chance to see Loretta.
I hung out two hours until the concert started. She was fantastic. Nothing electronic needed to enhance Loretta's voice.
Buck Owens was there also. I had a friend in high school who's Dad was a Buckeroo and she was named Loretta.
It was fantastic. She is rich AF but still tours to play for her fans.
Love you Loretta.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.
Great great great performance. They should write some together. Their voices are great together.
I don't understand how there are 2.3K dislikes on this video. So sad that they cannot appreciate the authenticity Willie and Loretta bring to country music. We need more of this.
Hello Regina..

God bless Loretta Lynn and happy birthday to Willie Nelson celebrating his 90th today. “This old world will turnaround… I’ll be at peace when they lay me down..”
This is beautiful. I love it.
But people need to stop complaining about how artists choose to express themselves. There are offshoots of country like any other genre. Maybe they aren't old school country. But they are country. New aged country and the younger generations who will be here long after a lot of you are gone will love it. They are the future, and their tastes are what matter.
Hope and pray she was at peace this morning when she left us! May you R.I.P. Country Queen! Sending love and condolences to her family!! Even though it's sad she's gone, but we gotta think she's now with her daddy, mommy, Doo, and her kids who went on before her!! She's now singing in the angel band! May she R.I.P.! We'll never forget you Loretta!! 😢❤️🙏💕
hey there, how’s it going with you today? Hope you’re having a peaceful day 🌹
Loretta, your spirit stood on solid ground and I pray you were at peace…thank you for the music that will stay with me forever.
Heard Bill Anderson say today that "heaven was a happy place today. Conway seen her coming and said "hello darling, its been a long time." Be at peace Loretta.
This song means so much more now after the passing today of the queen of country music. How blessed are we to have had these two in our lifetime.
Thank you. "When I was a child I cried." The combination of these two legendary singer's, this song just can't leave me. Fill's me up with life and death..and the beauty of each new breath.
Such a beautiful and haunting song recorded by the queen of country music Loretta Lynn and the red headed stranger Willie Nelson. Rest in peace Loretta. You were a true inspiration to so many people.
I really love Loretta too much ❤…her music is my therapy ❤
RIP to Miss Loretta I played this song at my grandmothers funeral I hope they will play it at yours

Loretta Lynn is why country music was made to be.pure originality in a good hearted women. This women paved the way of country music women forever.🎶❤📻✌
RIP Ms Loretta. The Angels Chorus just got better. Your music will forever live in this world.
Greatest living male and female country music artist.
Oh my Lord, when I saw this song with Willie and Loretta singing together, it brought tears to my eyes. Two authentic Americans representing country music's greatest of all-time. These are the people who only come around once. National treasures never to be duplicated.❤
Hello,how are you doing
it's a shame that modern country singers have strayed so far from the genre's roots. the only singers that stayed true to the genre are the ones that have been in the genre for so long that they're somewhere between their mid 50's to their early 80's. it's sad to think that there are so few artists staying true to the genre. god bless you Willie and Loretta. keep on keeping it country.
Mo Pitney (#1 for me), Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Mumford Brothers, Zac Brown Band.... don't lose out on the kids out there that love what we love....
Everything changes. So does music of all genres.
We have Lukas. He can do anything, so much of his father in him. With him, we have Willie for another 50 years.
Willie Nelson made pop albums ..
@@zzdecker exactly!!! And it's so crazy that there are people that cannot accept that and understand it.

They are idiots and do not have the ability to actually Hear or compute great music from two legends .
She was telling us what this day would be like for her. RIP, Loretta. October 4, 2022.
RIP Loretta. Looks like Willie truly is the last man standing.
Kris Kristofferson is still with us. He and Willie are the only old outlaws left.
@@NBLP7001 Ah yeah, good ol' Kris. God bless 'em.
This is country! Not Taylor Swift (pop) or Keith Urban (rock) etc...this is what country is supposed to be.
The "rockiest" country should be Willie and Waylon and the "poppiest" should be Eddie Rabbit. As you said, today's country artists are not country.
Couldn't agree more!
Exactly!
Yes sir
The struggle is not there for others in music they don't know what it's like to grow up with 1 bed and 8 bodies they don't know what it's like to have 1 pair of shoes a year that dad had to kill there last hog for . They do not know what keeping alive is like and see did then they got lost in the game and forgot that old life and grew weak and glutinous . We have to look to those of 40 + years for real . What about when there all gone and we keep craving real in a fake world ?
Loretta and Willy sound so good together! Love this sad song!

This song is beautiful it was played on my grandma and grandpa's funerals 😢
My sweet Lord, this song will forever bring me to tears! Can't believe Loretta's gone home to Jesus! For 48 years I've been a die hard Dolly fan and I still love her to death. She's a universe in herself with ALL her engagements. She sincerely CARES! I love that about Dolly. But Loretta and Dolly somehow belongs together. They were personal friends and has worked alot together. Now Dolly is 78 years old and I'm holding my breath. No need to say anything more. When her time to go home and reunite with family and peers, that day I don't want to experience. The whole world will stop!! Atleast mine. Loretta, sing with the angels! Dolly, you have no idea how loved and needed you are. Please take good care of yourself. This world needs you!!
