Same here, when I was young they always just had a song that fit so many moods. And they still do, and I love it ☺ I'm 31 & very glad they have withstood the tests of time over the years to create the beautiful music they always have ☺
This is my favorite song on this album. Their stuff has gotten me through so much! I loved seeing them in Texas in August. Will always be my favorite band! ❤️
The first time I heard this song was a few years ago on headphones and my entire body went into goosebumps during the chorus and background singing. I love the build up of the drums the entire time sounding like marching, all the lyrics are beautiful, how ethereal the guitars sound. There are times I have listened to it literally fifty times in a row. I hadn't heard it in over a year this time and man... shivers. I've been a fan since '97. I Want You inspired me to try the bass guitar. Deep Inside of You I can no longer listen to because of the pain I was going thru then, Bonfire reminds me of when I decided to take six years off from dating to heal myself and this song taught me that I'm still alive. This band has never left my heart and they never will!
Even on their albums that are relative duds, there are still pristine, hidden gems. This track ranks right up there in the top ten for me…and that’s saying something.
This bands been so special to me the early albums making extremely heartfelt music that touched on pretty touchy subjects, meth use , alcoholism all while writing some very catchy songs from a sort of meloncholic existential state of mind. I’m so glad they are still at it and several times a year I go through the catalogue. Thanks TEB for giving me music to go along with this rollercoaster life I’ve had
Damn his voice still sounds so good I feel like it is the voice of the 90's come back to give us that warm embrace in the cold world of today. Glad to hear it and feel young again.
I have listened to this song roughly 50 times in the last 2 days. It rocks my face off. Please never stop; I take for granted that my favorite band since 1999 is still making music. I love you guys.
@@aprilpavis-shroeder6841 Maybe so but I am talking about rock and roll or alt-rock genres as they were in the mid-80's to mid 2000's - as 3EB started. I am a musician and guitar player and I still love 3EB but this is not that kind or rock that made them stand out and successful. It has a completely different feel and vibe. Libra to Libra, I've been listening to teb since I was like 9 years old and never stopped. It's the only CD in my vehicle ever, no matter what! It was literally the only thing I wanted out of my old car when I sold it. TEB has been there since the beginning and never disappointed. Every song is such a part of every period of my life. It's like the perfect lyrical autobiography of every big thing and all the little things. But I have to know, what are they saying in the background??? Haha, < in the background > but yeah it sounds like "help me forget"? which as usual would be exactly synchronous to my life atm.
Another masterpiece from 3eb. I'm at work in my office, listening to this song. WEEPING 😭😖😪 Stephen, goddammit, YOU DID IT TO ME, AGAIN!!!! GOD BLESS 3eb. The Windy City needs you!!! 🙏✌💜
These songs hit me in such a way. I don’t even know what it is about it. It brings me to a safe space in San Francisco on a cold night. “So one time, I’ll find you. Warm in the rain right next to me”.
Just an ossuary, a box of bones: who else but Stephen Jenkins could integrate this image and all of its associations into a song about breaking and broken hearts. The dude is a poet. Love Third Eye Blind. Can't wait to party with the boys at a live show. Done with Covid.
First word....took me back 15 years of my life as if it went by in a flash. The uniqueness of his voice was like home sweet home all over again, man I missed this band. Got me through many rough times in my life with the I don't care attitude, but sensitive and understanding as well.
Avid follower. I never thought Stephan would excell Motorcycle Drive By. It's HIM. The purest and best. Anything. Slow Motion. Blinded. Profound lyrics and its just him. He's literally just Talking. Tom Petty Free Falling. AMAZING.

It is like having that special brother or friend suddenly walk through the door and back into your life. I honestly thought I would never hear new 3EB music. Maybe this will even mean that the chances I missed to see them live can be made up for finally. I discovered 3EB through the movie Can't Hardly Wait, and the track waa one of their more radio/media friendly, but that pop track was the gateway for me to discover everything else they had to offer, and 3EB became one of the most consistent soundtracks for my life (if not the number one). I have never EVER tired of 3EB since those early teen years in the mid 90s! Thanks for being something special!
I just watched them a couple months ago... been an absolute die hard fan since I was about 9. It was an out of body experience for me. Nothing compares to what I felt standing there in the crowd hearing his voice sing the songs of my heart
Same 🥰🥰 I can’t believe I haven’t even got to see them in concert yet and I’m 36! 😭😭😭😭. They’re such a nostalgic band to me always takes me back in time.
Box of bones. I'm an artist, and it resonates so personally with me. Every single relationship I've been in minus the current one has been someone manipulating me into thinking I can't do better so that they can own me. They gaslight me until I believe them. They isolate me. They stop me from creating art so I don't get any praise. This song represents all of the feelings they've created that I've endured. The growth I've made to recognize and call them out for it. The absolute severe abuse and neglect I've faced my entire life. The need for my mothers approval she never gave. The absolute vulnerability I had after my dad committed suicide and i found him, and how it was abused and taken advantage of former lovers.
You guys were in thunder bay recently. You went to the Waterhouse. Everyone in town told me you were there, because they knew how you shaped my life. A man who had been an abuser for 8 years, I gave him another chance. I felt like he was my soul mate. I felt like it was meant to be. He wouldn't let me come there to you guys. I always thought he was the "find you warm in the rain right next to me".. I didn't know myself. Everything lost its tie to meaning. I felt so strong knowingly standing up myself, I felt so secretly weak losing the one solid thing I had growing up, no matter how abusive it was. I felt so brittle taking my stand against his STILL abusive behaviors.
Love this song. I remember being in the elevator at work. Took the service elevator to avoid the posh crowd of the location. Was blasting this. Not quite the servant's stairs, but in the moment I felt it. The road less traveled, my friend... #ourbandeapart #thirdeyeblind
