- When the elephant lose their last set of teeth they cannot chew their food efficiently any longer.
When Grandma Saza came to ENP, she wasn't able to eat normal food so we helped her to get the nutrients she wasn't getting.
With the love and care from volunteers they made the soft foods for Zaza.

Its hard to believe how many elephants are abused by humans. These rescue videos make me cry but its lovely to see stories like this one of how some people give elephants the love and respect they deserve. Bless you, Saza.

These elephants are extremely thankful, they would not walk up to humans if there was not an incredible bond. I hope to one day go there and volunteer, living a simple life but fulfilling.
I am always amazed at how much elephants can endure in their lives. Unspeakable cruelty and they can learn to forgive us.
I thought feeding my two tiny dogs fresh homemade food was work, until I see how much elephants eat - yikes! I'll never complain again!

Nonetheless we need the medication to get things done as we want.
I too think love is stronger than anything (as long as its real, authentic), but sadly we are a great minority, and people, especially those in power, do not have that sensitiveness, so they manage and control nature with all kind of tools, being the medication one of those.
If they knew, how amanzingly *INOFFENSIVE* these animals are, how they would never do anything to anybody, they are quiet and calm and they enjoy life like that, not making any harm to anybody. They are intelligent and have memory, but thats not important if they can live normally.
And with all this, they just go on and on and try to control them, repress them, put them in a cage, deny freedom.... kill them...

I am very flabbergasted with Thai people professing their love for elephants and attributing it to Buddhism. But like Hindus who worship the elepahnt God Ganesh they are the abusers and exploiters, numéro uno. At least there is one Thai person who rescues elephants and gives them a second chance.
