Hello today I'm going through UFC fighters that started training MMA later in their life and became successful. If you enjoy MMA content make sure to like and subscribe to hop on the shadow train!

@@lilmanq7746hell yea bro, but you have to be obsessed with it tho and visualize it everyday, I ain’t tryn sound stereotypical or nothing but trust me its true. You literally have to dedicate your life to it and live for it everyone is gonna think your crazy and your mind will be tested a million times, but if it truly is your dream you’ll do WHATEVER it takes to make it happen you only live once don’t fuck it up. @@lyrickdv8518here’s a tip, if your in college and doing good in that then don’t just spend less hours in college just to try to “catch up” in mma. College should be the main priority and mma should be a hobby then you can take it more serious in between the semesters or when you finish school.
@@darkallex88tbh it’s not about the age but about how dedicated you are and how much experience you have. If you take a bunch of amateur bouts like 20 in the span of 3 years and try go pro at 29-30 you can be pretty good. Do as many bjj comps, kickboxing, mma, boxing bouts as you can manage within those years while training and forget about trying to win just get the experience. By 30 you should be still athletically able to compete and be experienced enough to hold you own.
gane is the best example i think. most of the other guys here either started before 20 or had sports experience beforehand. gane started kickboxing as his first sport in his mid 20s. he gets clowned a lot but 99% of mma fighters dream of having a career as good as his
Mma is still soo young as a sport that our pioneers were 30-35 years of age. Most mma guys will be a little much in the older side since the sport is still in it's infancy stage. Unlike boxing that's 100 years old
Usman started wrestling when he was 17 and mma at 25, izzy kickboxing at 18 n mma at 22,poatan kickboxing at 21 n mma later magomed ankalaev started greco-roman wrestling at 21 and then transition to combat sanbo and then mma, even their backgrounds were very late but they succeeded, age was never an excuse
I mean a lot of these guys started out like us but even like John Jones didnt start training full on to be an MMA fighter until they were like 18. And tbh its probably healthier and more impressive for you to start when your journey when your ready rather then when your at the youngest capable age you can be
@@mouhamedmidou7607 I have talked to a lot of Australians and they say that wrestling in Australian high schools is nothing compared to wrestling in America. It is equivalent to learning karate from a McDojo.

@@googlegmail9888That’s true but he didn’t have an extensive background in wrestling, he’d only done it for like a year growing up
Looks like I have a chance then I’m 18 and started a year ago

I just started training boxing at age 20 and thought I was starting late, this vid is a relief for sure 😅
If you’re trynna become a boxer then you are starting late. For MMA you’re good though
You're technically starting late. Mma guys can get leeway because the sport is only 30 years old compared to boxing 100 years impact
Cannonier started at like 25 i believe. yoel started late too. but he had a wresling career before that which translates some.
Bro forgot Alex Pereira
The fact he started at 21 or 22 is crazy af

Kamaru was competing at 25
I think they started earlier but competed at the age u mentioned
Yoel Romero started training MMA during his 30s.
He had a background in wrestling and he literally wresled since 5
I started 9 months ago
Alex pierrera started late as well
Yoel Romero joined the ufc at like 40
Should I start training? I get fire in my heart when I think about fighting. And I’ve been training with hand weights for months and gotten better.
100%!
What is the outro song?
I’m 20 years old and I’m a former walk on D2 wrestler, is it too late for me?
Definitely not especially with your wrestling background
Romeroooooo????
why dont you add music in your vids
I'm 19 started 3 weeks ago am I good or nah
Yep, you can do big things if you stick with it!
What do you think?
I’m getting to two years in and I’m still a scrub compared to most amateur and all pro fighters. You got a long way to go😂🤣
You just need a good coach, you're good bro
You're good keep training and keep going, if u wanna reach a high level u need to train at very least 5 times a week
What about fancus Nuggayo

Kamaru could not have been given the decision in his 3rd fight with Leon
He lost a decisive 48-46
Francis Ngannou should be here
