    Thanks for posting I was born in Denny 1958 left for Australia 1972 it was a great wee town in those days thinking that I saw the best of it it went downhill quickly with the Glasgow overspill and the industry’s closing down at the same time

    If they hadn't torn down half the town in the quest for'modernization', and replaced those old buildings with new ones that only last 40-50 years, the town could have been a tourist's dream. I'm just old enough to remember some of old Denny and it was a camn sight better looking than the white elephant buildings we have today.

      you are so right,it could have been like calender or something similar,even if they just put up fake old style buildings instead of that stupid library building,they pub chains are always building quaint little new builds there is nothing to it but for some reason councillers have never had any imagination ,all too scared to be different

    NICE TO SEE THE PICTURE HOUSE IN DENNY I USED TO GO THERE WITH MY BEST PAL MICHAEL HARKINS WHEN A WAS A WEE BOY.A LIVED AT DRYBURGH AVE. MY MUM WAS ALEC AND JEAN PENMAN I WOULD BE INTRESTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE REMEMBERS THE AND ME ALSO

      I remember it from the 60s and early 70s, and the photo then would be taken from near the putting green, there was also a tennis court there and a football park further back.
