That whole reed deal sucks man. Ive used a bunch of harps and have had that same reed blow out/difficulty finding issue w alot of em. Only one ive been able to get reeds for with no issue is my lee oskar. We should def be able to get reeds without an issue. Great review man.

Good review. I too like playing the Promaster. Just one small point; you mention at about 1.15 on the video that they have brass reeds but I think all the Promasters have phosphor bronze reeds.

+Tony Questa hey Tony. That's right! They are phosphor bronze. They are great harps. I just wish the reeds were more affordable.

Promaster. Just my 2 cents. Best harp for the money hands down. Especially if you can get a valved for $50. You will not be disappointed.

Just got my first two MR-350's. One valved in C key. Other non-valved in G key. Both play extremely well. But when I stripped them down, I was very disappointed that both combs were extremely unflat. And they both had deep sanding gouge tracks in the combs. Maybe that's why the screws that attached the reed plates to the comb were torqued down at such a tremendous tightness. But with a little sanding, I corrected the combs. Everything else appears to be really solid. Excellent bendability. Really liking the valved harp. And if it helps, I got these On Ebay for $35 each with free shipping. I'm glad I picked these up. I also have a bushy mustache and beard. Really enjoy the rounded cover plates not grabbing them. Always better to play the harp without pain.

I thought promaster Mr 350 key c is using anodized aluminum comb but why you mentioned unflat comb ? I just bought a new Suzuki me 350 (nv) comes with softcase, find ok.

There are harmonica customisers out there who can replace one or two reeds and do some tinkering for a good price. It'll save you lots of money.

    • @HoofHearted6

You can regap reeds yourself. It may not solve your issue but at least you can try. Definitely beats throwing them away and buying a new one. I'm 60 and just now learning this lol. PS.....just bought a Promaster and now I am pissed that I didn't buy one years ago. Lee Oskar.....Hohner.....Seydel.......just get you a Susuki Promaster. Say no more. Thank me later.

I'm using Hohner Meisterklasse Diatonic it's unique and also longer lasting.. Plus Seydel Blue's Session, Hohner Pro Harp,Blue's Harp,Marine Band Regular and also Crossover.. My only Suzuki are Overdrive and Bluesmaster..I'm satisfied with performance of what I own and as for Chromatic Harmonicas I've Hohner Chromonica 64 280 c 16 Hole's & also Meisterklasse 7565 14 Hole's.. I've purchased all my Harmonica's direct from
music Shop..Hohner after sale's & Service is best of all including Seydel..I'll recommend the viewers to purchase Harmonica's individually direct from your nearby Music Store..Online order's can't be Trusted out of the box in most case's 😁 😂

Suzuki not selling replacement reeds is why I never got into them. Once you fix your Hohner or Seydel harp for $2, it's hard to go anywhere else.

So far I've owned 3 Suzuki Promaster 350v G, the first one I put in a safe place to be abil to find it, I guess it is too safe in 4 years I haven't been abil to find it. Then #2 I've had it for a year now it plays nice THEN it was in the case and when I was getting out of a truck I dropped it about 5 feet, still in the case BUT now it won't play right, 5 and 6 seem non responsive, I took it apart by i dont see any damage?

It's a beautiful harmonica but my concern is that the aluminum being used every single day after a long time of using it can cause Alzheimer's disease. I wish they offered an aluminum one with chrome plating or something.
