Secret German mock airfield De Kiek SF 37 Kamerun. / German decoy Airfield.

Today we go to a German mock airfield. It had only one purpose. And that was, pretending to be the operational airport in Gilze (then fliegerhorst Gilze-Rijen).
The Germans who were stationed here. According to surviving civilians from the war, they were very fond of the civilians who lived in the area. And this shows again that most German soldiers had to do their duty no matter what.
If you're in the area I would definitely check it out.

Interessante video, ik ben nu 72 jaar en heb dus al veel verhalen, films en boeken gelezen over de 2e WO, maar er kan nog veel meer bij...de volgende keer wel opletten dat je de muziek niet door je tekst laat klinken, van mij hoeft er helemaal geen muziek bij.
