Hi Daz, This is something me and my wife are looking at doing. We own our house outright, but when we look at residential park homes on rightmove etc we get disheartened with how much they cost, especially considering you have monthly site fee's to pay too. We know you can buy an Abi Beaumont from about £90 000, then as you said in one of your video's £5000 for the drive, £15000 for the decking etc. That wouldn't leave much from the sale of our house, so it worries us. The whole point is to take away financial pressures, but with around £3000 a year site fees we feel like we would still have to work until we are 65. We are 50 now.

It’s not the case to be honest site fees are about 2500 lpg gas is cheaper if you listen to the negative people, we wouldn’t of done it either. We can live off one wage and put one away for eg if we put £1000 a month away 8 years will give us £96000 yes you will still have bills found out the drive is £2000 now and smaller rooms less to heat, we have spoken to quite a few residents and they all say would never go back to bricks and mortar, they have either gone part time or carry on working and saving, you can either go residential or 12 months site holiday park meaning being off the site 1 to 2 months a year first one is better but there are many ways to save money and reduce the cost of living for yourself, look for us on Facebook if we can help we will, and don’t get me wrong it is a bit scary, but life’s to short we are also 50

You don’t have to get the decking right away or just have skirts on your lodge hope you subscribe

    Hi Daz,
I’m a first time buyer and possibly looking at a Park Home. I’m 37 and I have some savings put away, but as houses are so expensive I think one of these could be the answer. Do you know if you can mortgage them?
    Thanks,
    Rob

It’s not mortgage more of a loan on one we are lucky enough to be buying outright and putting money down on something else, you could look at some great used ones or rent hope this helps but will look in to it see if we can buyout

@@DazPreston69 I may look at some used ones. I’m assuming that you could get a mortgage on used ones? What are you outgoing like, inc pitch fees etc?
