    We can all agree pvp will rely on the AI of your pal screaming at the enemy or standing there with their back turned.

      I explained in the video that typically that’s a cooldown issue….unless your trying to defend a raid….then they genuinely just do nothing 😂

    Something to note as well is hitbox size and movement speed when it comes to pvp. Even if you are only dealt neutral damage, depending on your hitbox, you'd still be either a hard or easy target. What's more is the ability to maneuver quickly to evade or reposition would be beneficial in pvp as well. Good video btw

      This is true. Sometimes if I need to regen health I just throw out my alpha Jormuntide because it takes up the whole screen and acts as a giant shield lol

    1.) people are just gonna do a 50/50 split of the "most ideal" pals and counters to those 2.) breeding traits will mix up and negate some strengths and weaknesses 3.) a massive factor will definitely be janky AI and no it's not just because they're waiting on cooldowns. 4.) Activatable attacks may be a huge deciding factor, as well as teleport attacks 5.) Anubis (if it ever works) having a dodge/i frame chance may also be quite dominant and just breed the trait for resisting grass moves into it

  • @jozeferickson85
    @jozeferickson85 Před 5 měsíci +2

    For orserk, pick fire if you want to counter weakness especially pvp. Frostallion is going to be a fan favorite, freezing for ice is gonna be strong in pvp aswell as electric stun, and ground types arent that abundant and they arent really many strategies or powerful teams to choose from especially pvp. Counter the ice weakness not the ground. Keep in mind, we have to keep in mind what these weaknesses are and how much that actually weighs as a threat. There are very strong types for pvp and pve and there are meh types. Also consider how strong these types actually are to begin with and how much attack/defense yoy can actually achieve on them aswell. You can be an electric type with STAB bonus, and a non electric type pal can use an electric move and has so much more attack that it exceeds any stab bonus you bring because your attack is so much lower. Making pals that arent even that type, technically better as that type lmao

    • @nickmakescontent
      @nickmakescontent  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That's a super good idea. Pals that are bred rather than caught are more than likely going to have way better IVs like health, attack, and defense. Not to mention, its a great way to farm XP as well. Breeding your team for PvP is 100% the move.

    I agree with most of this. Although the picking of different moves to cover all bases, especially the one to cover against its only weakness, makes me hesitant.
    It specifically reminds me of when my friend and I were debating the idea of the last passive skill after legend/ferocious/musclehead or whatever your preference is. We were debating whether a trait that would defend from a weakness or a trait that would increase the attack/elemental damage would be better. Like for Orserk, i was struggling with whether or not he would be better with capacitor or earthquake resistant. Obviously i was wrong about capacitor and legend would be the better choice after already having lord of lightning/ferocious/musclehead. But earthquake resistant seems irrelevant because when you are actually in combat, you will ultimately want to kill the other pal/player faster rather than focus on preventing yourself from dying. Connecting this to your theory makes me think that it would ultimately be better to set orserk up with more lightning or dragon moves rather than a move that would work against ground/ice. Ultimately i think damage/critical damage will rule out even dual types or pals that try to cover their bases with different moves.

    i get the logic behind it but playing multiplayer PVP games since my childhood, i would say the most optimal way to play is to use counters and not cover for weakeneses. Usually jack of all trades = master of none. So your pal will be on average strong but will not be able to compete to fully stacked builds.

    Just so we know Jormuntide Ignis is not better than Blazamut solely because of the fact that you can only inbreed it making it impossible to give Legend and Flame Emperor to a Jormuntide Ignis.
    But I appreciate your effort in making PvP related videos since breeeding the best pvp pals are (currently) the only endgame thing you can really do

  • @kampfer91
    @kampfer91 Před 5 měsíci

    Using different elements on a Pal may have some merit , if you inflict a target grass bind status via a grass move , then that target will take even more damage from Fire move . The same goes for using water move to soak the target and then zap it . However this won't sustain for long as enemy will build up status resistance over time .
