It's amazing that Wes doesn't know how Amos ends. 🤣
YES!!!! .... oh my ...
I want a reunions show just so he can read the other books and talk about it
I wanna give him spoilers so bad!!!! But I won't. Read the books, Wes!
It fits his character though - it is an innocence - albeit in a different way
…or doesn’t…
I'm so grateful that you all agree, Ty, Daniel and Naren. The last 3 seasons need to be picked up so Wes can know Amos' fate!! Thanks for geeking out with us about this show!
Oh god, what I'd give to see that in live action. Legendary
Daniel’s Bond-villain evil chuckle when he realized that Wes doesn’t know Amos’ future in the last three books was remarkable.
I had to go back and see Daniel's reaction. Priceless.
Great episode guys!
Daniel " We got to get someone to pick up the last three so Wes can read the books!" Come on!!! Let's Go!!!!!+
We need to see Timothy, just so Wes can.
Looking forward to S7E1 podcast, I have the faith :)
Hell yeah
me too.
Amazing episode.
I would just add that the show already had Holden defeat Marco "one-on-one" when they defeated the Pella and he did it in the Holden way. Marco uses all of his fleet and crew to support his decisions while Holden relies on his crew and supports their decisions. By giving weapon control to Bobby he's doing something Marco could never do and so defeats him and his ideology in one fell swoop.
There are some famous quotes that basically say "if you don't let people peacefully protest you'll ensure they'll (eventually) violently protest" and that relates a lot to making sure everyone has a voice/seat at the table.
Interesting they bring up the scene of Amos saving Bobby. Amos using his light Martian armor to deflect fire from Bobby’s damaged power armor was one of the more obvious bits of plot armor. It worked emotionally, but at a minimum Amos would be on life support after that, if not dead, instead of walking around with barely a scratch.
Wes commenting about Strange Dogs is classic. If only he knew how important those “dogs” were to Amos’s arc.
“You don’t know how Amos ends!”
30 years later, Wes will finally read the remaining books. Keeping it real.
When reading through the last 3 books, I always pictured Edward James Olmos as Anton Trejo and Claudia Black as Tanaka.
PS Not since DS9 ended have I enjoyed a Sci Fi series so much. It has warranted multiple re-watches and there's something really comforting about hanging out again with the Roci family. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment - books and show.
Wes you seriously have to read the last 3 books. Amos' story and his friendship with Peaches is amazing.
When Ty talked about living in the ruins of a fallen empire, it reminded me of a powerfully evocative yet fragmentary Anglo Saxon poem ("The Ruin") that describes how the author felt when looking at the Roman ruins. Classic line from it include: "the work of Giants, crumbled" and "'Wondrous is the stone of this wall, shattered by fate; the precincts of the city have crumbled and the work of giants is rotting away."
Man, this was fascinating; one of the best episodes you guys have done. I was so gratified that the team stuck the landing with the final episode. The very last sequence was perfect, and the music was beautiful.
Bro, the teases for season 7 are getting crazy you guys
right? ots killing me
IM FROTHING
THE CALLOUT ON WES ABOUT AMOS!!!
The four of you were so great together. You can easily see and feel the love all of you guys have for the show. It showed in the series so much. Thank you for sharing with us. OMG that Wes doesn't know Amos fate and the way Daniel and Naren were laughing about it.
As an ex-sound mixer and boom operator, in the industry we referred to that as "giving good mic."
WOW, THE LAST EPISODE 😭 I've been putting off reading the last short story in Memory's Legion, I can't stand the idea of it being over 🥲
Wes, read the last three books and then you can discuss them on future episodes. Good content.
Inaros' awareness where he stood in terms of the power structure was revealed when Duarte told him that he's on his own. Inaros was just a pawn in a larger game, sort of like how JP Mao played Earth, Mars and the Belt against each other as a distraction. Love the symmetry.
Thank you all for the gift you have given us with this show
great discussion. I thought the final political maneuverings was all Avasarala - once she met up with Drummond she knew that was where the leadership was necessary. She knew Holden and knew what he would do if put in charge, and all her voiced opposition and threat to oppose it was so they wouldn’t think it was her idea all along.
❤ time for another binge watch. (#6)😊
Growing in the Rustbelt feels very much like living in the post apocalyptic ruins of a former empire. My childhood was shadows of massive rusting spires, hulking gutted boilers and seemingly unending factory lines slowly collapsing into a green poison river - many of us living the old worker homes and wondering why things are the way they are.
i'm on book 7 now and you have to do the rest, isn't that what netflix are for? and surely you didn't do strange dogs for nothing. i find myself rewatching the shows every so often and this last episode, what an eye full. i would love to see the rest.
Really enjoyed the discussion with your guests 😀! Please 🙏 someone, we need the last 3 books dramatized.
Why have I listened to this 3 times today? Please get the rest of the show picked up for all our sakes.
Naren has the best shirt! 😆
I liked his shirt, too, but not sure what it means. Help me out
@@weasels1381 evolution kills religion… dinosaur kills Jesus fish.
@@charlesdbruce ah, didn't recognize the fish. thanks
So heartening to hear you hinting about possibilities for doing the last three books. I’m hoping it happens!
I thought the show did a bang up job of conveying the character development & themes of the novels. Despite budgetary constraints, actors not being available, covid restrictions etc you guys pulled it off & stuck the landing. As much as I would love to see the last 3 books adapted, I was satisfied with how the show ended. 👍 Also enjoyed how the novellas were seamlessly integrated into the main story ❤
I just finished reading the series and I really appreciate the perspective.
Would love to know how Wes would like Amos to end up. He's gonna be real surprised when he finally reads the book.
Oh, man wait till he hears what happens to Amos.
Just dropping a like 👍because all 4 of you are f..king awesome 😊👍
I always wondered if Wes knows the end of Leviathan Falls. I'm not surprised he doesn't. ;)
Fantastic to see another from you guys :)
Great episode, thanks for feeding our obsession!
The death of Marco made me do some battle cries. It was absolutely perfect, especially in this weird time of megalomania.
Aaaaaaaw, it's so sad that it's the last episode, I would have loved to see the last three books on the screen 🥰
Too Bad, So Sad about Amos in books 7 onward. He really did not expect......
Broken record here, but is there ANY chance we're getting seasons 5 and 6 on Blu Ray?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
I have the entire set. Not sure when the last two came out …. Unlike the other 4, no special features.
Great show guys.
I think that Ty's discussion about how wars are not over with the big battle is so true. A great example of this in fiction would be A song of Ice and Fire. GRRM said its the continuing after a big battle and we can see how well that went
As a former recording engineer, I *would* basically tell people that they’d have to essentially give the microphone (Shure SM58’s mostly) a BJ when recording. #microphonetechnique
Wait, the last one?? No more movie reviews? I will miss this so much!!
No, ofc it is not the last one. You need to listen. It's the last Expanse episode. Not the last podcast. Why do people panic so quicky
I hope you guys keep the podcast going with discussing movies and TV 👍🏻
All Wes Chatham has to read is the final epilogue in book 9. 🤣
Omgs, Wes, read the fracking books…
I will take it as gospel, Season 7-9 are gonna happen. And with Nick Nolte as Amos. LMAO I'm dyin'...
I love Wes' optimism, and I respect his acting process. But he really needs to read the last 3 novels ASAP.
Last episode?! Say it isn't so! 😢
at least Holden didn’t give the position to the person with the best….story.
Love this group
Wait what?!?? No more Ty and That Guy?!?!?
have you listened? It's not the last one.
38:09 Good one Ty 🤣
Notice he emphasized Amazon and so far.
Oh ffs guys come on, DO IT.
MORE
Hold on, last episode???
could be because he has to film for disney, im not sure though
duuuudes. It's the last one about an expanse podcast because Season 6 episode 6 was the last. They still do the regulat pidcast. You people only hear what you want to, to panic 😂
😊🚀⏳
25:50 Exactly how drumpf was evil but inevitable, because both parties have been scrwing the working class for decades.
As soon as "capitalism" "won" the cold war, the west was free to stop pretending it was a system meant to improve society, and immediately shifted into funneling power to the top, just like the neo-fuedal system it is
Really hope Wes was joking when he said this is the last episode of Ty and That Guy
I doubt Disney wants him doing this
@@christopherkruse1370 yeah that would make sense, hopefully Ty is also too busy, as in writing scripts for a movie trilogy or season 7? Yet, I dream
@@mrturtle6574 bro, we can hope
Did you listen? It is not the last episode of the podcast. It is the last deep dive of an expanse season episode. And this one was so long, it got split into two. So next week there will be part 2 of this.
@@unstoppabell1553 yeah, I was just scrolling through comments while it started. I didn't finish it because it's no big deal..it's just youtube

Now we're living in the ashes of the US empire.
