A person who is an athlete that has a team located in Philly cannot live with their parents in Portland, it just doesn't work that way. Also, many people with gaming aspirations move away because their parents don't support them/not to the fullest extent. Parents also usually want you to move from the house so you can make new acquaintances, and move away from your comfort zone to become a more developed and "grown" person, in a way. I can tell you this from personal experience because I moved out of my house in Mexico when I was 19, after I graduated high school and started working on my dream profession (journalism) I moved to the US and do my studies here. Not everyone has the privilege of being able to do their studies at their home country or even have a minimum wage salary job, just take third world countries as a prime example. Are people then able to live with their parents, grow as a person and develop? No. Again, I wouldn't think you'd understand given you're probably 9 years old
