Very important topic when discussing solar lights is the material of the solar panel itself. The plastic ones will yellow and fade within a single season or less.
I think the narrator is ok. With anything solar it is best to check for LONGEVITY, any top ten list without this is just useless. I have had some of the recommended lights and most just did not last past a summer at best. A couple weeks or less at worst.
