I don't know why but there is so much "magic" or "positive energy" in your videos in which you are outside in the nature. Hard to explain ...
It's beautiful - and then you play the music and it's even more beautiful.
But strangely this is only in your videos - don't feel the same in other photographers videos when they are somewhere filming in nature.
Thank you for the helpful information by the way. Like your Italian accent.
    Cheers from Austria!

For all those with short attention spans, firstly, give up photography, if you have that little patience you're never going to learn anything, secondly, look at Attilio's work, a master giving you his knowledge for free, show some respect dudes.

Great tips. I’d add a few more.
    1) Many landscape photos have an obvious landmark or point of interest. Focus on that.
    2) Turn on focus peaking and focus to maximize the amount highlighted.
    3) Take multiple images mixing a variety of techniques. You never know which technique will suit the situation best.

Yay a photographer who understands and can explain hyperfocal distance! Many supposed photographers can't. What's the point of using a really small aperture with deep depth of field if your subjects you want in focus are really far away pretty much at infinity such as in most landscape shots and getting a soft image due to diffraction around the small aperture? Just use a larger aperture as you say in your next video. Maybe you remember when lenses used to have distance scales and aperture markings on their barrels so you could just switch the lens to manual adjust the lens to suit what you wanted to be in focus in your shot at what ever distance depending on the aperture you have chosen so simple. But most modern DSLRs don't have lenses with distance scales and aperture markings on any more. I have met so many photographers who cannot grasp this even supposedly more experienced photographers. Once you do it is an epiphany moment in photography and you can do so much more being really creative and of course getting what you want in focus to be pin sharp of course using all your other tips as well. Focus 1/3 in always works well. Great tutorial.

Thanks for mentioning PhotoPills for DOF tables. Very handy. I discovered that the app includes parameters for including print viewing distance and vision quality of the viewer under the advanced DOF option. In the field I always do focus stacking even if I decide in post processing it is not necessary. (Disk space is cheap compared to my travel expenses.)

Attilio, even if using Photo Pills - I would still have to guess where the Hyper Focal Distance would be isn't it? Let's say it said I should focus 12 feet away, I would have to guess where 12 feet is? The same would apply to the double distance focusing method?

Thank you, Mr. Attilio for sharing your experiences. Love your pictures. Said that, I must admit that I haven't understood well your last method of focussing. It looks to me, it is the Hyperfocal distance method, which depends on the lens you are using( Brand, focal length), and the Aperture you selected to use. To my understanding, the DOF calculator, determines the Hyperfocal distance, I might be missing something. Could you please correct me, and explain the step by step process of your method. Thank you so much for your assistance. Regards.

But i have preview --button.My-- question is : do i have to press preview button every time when i shot and when go over my widest aperture to f/8 or F/11 to get right exposure and more important to get all in focus.I have lens F 2.8 and i set to F11 i use AF but i still loking through viewfinder on aperture 2,8 , because Canon close aperture just after you press shutter --button.In-- reality that means you don't know is it in fokus on f/11 -camera will show you after you press the shutter-You cant see real picture what happend only if you must press preview button.I apologize for my lousy english-
