I ran across one of these at random today at Walmart. Just last week, I was researching backpack stoves and they all ran $30-$120. This little unit does everything I need without the expense. Great video!
I have one of those stoves. Mine came off eBay. It still works like new after 4 years. Having the propane adapter included is a really nice feature. I'd definitely get one for that price. Great job 👍

I have another stove but had the propane bottles that require the adapter and this stove comes with the adapter I required. So, I got this set because the people I sent to the store couldn't find the adapter sold by itself. However, I'm definitely greatful to have a backup stove that (as You stated) has given You 3 years of great use...
Informative video. The package doesn't say anything about how to adjust the flame. I just bought mine and I'm looking forward to cooking on propane after burning through far too many Sterno butane cans. I refill my 1lb Coleman bottles. Word to the wise: Most people don't know they aren't DOT legal after being refilled. Have to empty them before moving over public roads.

For the price, why the heck not? I have one of those Coleman butane stoves and that works great, but one of these would be great for paddle camping trips with the kayak when space is limited.

Great review. The propane bottle doesn't snap onto the bottle though and wasn't mentioned. You did teach me something that another CZcams video person didn't figure out. That is how to get the stand onto the butane mix canister. He gave up and down rated the stove to a 9.
The stand fits the butane, but not the propane. For the propane, I would just dig down an inch or two, so it sits recessed below the ground. The it won't get tipped over. 😄👍

I live in a Chicago suburb and have checked 5 Walmart stores - none have this stove. When I asked employees for it, they gave me all kind of weird answers. In fact, one of them told me that Target sells Ozark Trail products. Is this a regional sold-only product? Where do you guys bought them? Thanks!
It could be regional or it could be that they haven't gotten around to setting their new mods yet. You can always order online to the store nearest you for free shipping.

I also have refilled them from a bulk tank. TBH, the 1lb bottles are just too unstable. Even with the base that comes with the lantern or stoves. You haven't lived until your pot of stew, or water, or skillet full of bacon decides it's off by that much and turns the stove over. In side. In the dark.

Okay, so in a pinch I'm using this to heat my car while I stay overnight stealth camping my way back home. Will I kill myself and my dog if we fall asleep in a very drafty Jeep 2 door Wrangler?
@@LifeWithKernelLee yeah not ideal. I feel like monoxide poisoning is less a concern than it simply toppling whilst sleeping. But while awake, I can attempt to heat the space with the windows cracked

My Walmart was well stocked at one time but haven’t seen them in awhile. Mine works well too

I was using a Heat Buddy which is stated to be indoor safe, but I can't see it being drastically different than this in output
