I adore this movie because it was unpredictable at times, add in beautiful scenes and extraordinary actors kept my attention.
I had a childhood memory come up about my curiosity as a child asking why and getting “because I said so” from my mother. The rituals (government) and too many variables that keep mediocrity in place and social status about women regardless of region continue to fight for freedom is a reflection that continues.
I especially enjoyed the way the camera was used in high shots gliding through the set filling the screen with vibrant colors especially the dance at the start pulled me in.
The director, actors and production of this film makes for a great experience.
I could see the changes of M moving from a confident entitled egomaniac, enjoying his privilege slowly being taken down. I even noticed the change of M’s teeth.
Question authority, use your courage, listen to your truth and best of all women are human beings. These are just a few take aways for me.
Whoever did the English subtitles did a wonderful job... 'Hushband' and 'Husband' was too good.
