I’m sure those who’ve read my other comments about this orchestra are sick and tired of me saying the same thing over and over again, but I HAVE TO!! The phrasing, the blend, the balance, the intonation-NICHT ZU GLAUBEN!! BRAVO!!

I love Schuberts, I love this symphony.
Pieter Schuberts is great.
Wunderschöne Aufführung dieser romantischen und fein komponierten Sinfonie, die die helle Seite von Schubert repräsentiert, mit gut harmonisierten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt friedlich. Der erfahrene und unvergleichliche Dirigent leitet das perfekt trainierte Orchester im lebhaften Tempo und mit angenehmer Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

Meiner Meinung nach, Herr Maestro Guenter Wand ist der beste Interpretator von Synfonien von Schubert. So saubere Toene, so echte Melodien, so tiefe Nachdenkungen in Musik... Sehr grosser und vielen Dank!

A wonderful recording, one of the best on you tube, thank you ,one of my favourite symphonies, Schubert is vastly underrated , a master of the simple tune made beautiful.

It's hard to believe that Maestro Wand was 85 when he conducted this performance. It all seems effortless and perfectly blended. And kudos to septet of wind players who more than held their own against the strings.
