- This week's warrior cat of the week is Brokenstar - the first villain of the Warriors series. Very appropriate that he'd be the cat featured during the 18th anniversary of Into the Wild. #wcotw

One of the most bizarre situations :
My cat had kittens and we decided to name one of them Brokentail because she had a bent in her tail.
When reading the Warrior Cat series, my mom and I kept wondering why the name sounded so familiar... then it hit us that we had a kitten named Brokentail.
Our kitten was actually very vicious out of the litter and certainly the most playful.

The last we heard about her, was that she got to visit my house and I bathed her, but her owners must of not have taken good care of her because she had fleas and then sometime later the owner told us that she ran away. So, she still could still be living her fierce life in a clan, but maybe he told us that because she might of unfortunately died. Either way, she will be remembered.

I think brokenstar is an good example of a cat needing some love, all he new when he was a kit was he was getting bullied for being different and look how he turned out, at least crooked star had cats that loved him like his dad brother and willow breeze fleck and his family

We might have had a second Brokenstar if Violetshine didn't have Needletail and Twigbranch hadn't been her friends, Pinenose wasn't as bad as Lizardtail with her abuse nor did Violetkit suffer from bullying by her adoptive siblings or deprived of food like Broken star but I wonder what could have been.

@@annelivalkama7451 oh that’s right yeah I remember Twigbranch and Needletail were friends but still Lizardtail was abusive as well I hated Lizardtail way more than I hated Lizardstripe from Yellowfang's Secret
I didn’t like the idea of cats being born evil. I liked that it was because of the bullying and discrimination from his Clanmates.
If you think about it:Yellowfang took the phrase “I brought you into this world I can take you out of it.” Very seriously…Twice!

I absolutely love Brokenstar as a villain. He’s so much better developed than other villians such as Tigerstar and Scourge.
I remember when Foxheart died during Yellowfang's Secret when Raggedstar was still leader and when he made Brokenstar his deputy (bad move by Raggedstar), he knew his son was a murderer and a dangerous enemy!
I definitely found it interesting how blinded raggedstar was in raising his son to be 'happy' with just one parent, that he only realized once he made his son deputy how bad a choice it was. It took yellowfang snapping him back into reality with clouds death happening just to get him to notice how cruel his son was, but by then it was too late.

Raggedstar in general made stupid decisions. But spoiling his son and continue doing it up into his leader was completely idiotic of him to do and look what happened to ShadowClan and its offspring.
Starclan gotta stop telling prophecies. They're all self-fulfilling.

Raggedstar knew that he made a bad mistake when he named his son as deputy, he KNEW that Brokenstar was very dangerous and murderous so why did he make Brokentail/star deputy?

That’s the one thing I don’t like about this series. The Erin’s definitely just came up with the concept of killing spirit cats like Spottedleaf in order for them to fade away forever
I really think Brokenstar deserved better😢
Nah he hurt a lot of cats I would say he had it coming for him. But I would agree that his story deserves better. After all we only ever know about Brokenstar from other cats’ perspective. I don’t think any chapter in the books was from his point of view. It would be interesting to know what was going on in his head while growing up and committing the atrocities during his leadership. There was a hint of regret when he died, as Fireheart could tell in Forest of Secrets. Perhaps he’d thought of what life could’ve been like if he’d made better choices, or without the curse of the prophecy… we might never know for sure.
@@kittylina36yeah..it would be interesting to see what he was thinking in his mind. I believe that he turned out the way that he did was because his "littermates" were bullying and teasing him and stuff.
Is it bad that I feel kinda awful for Brokenstar? You guys can tell me, I'm pretty open minded.
It's not bad. He had a horrible childhood, but I believe he could've turned out different. He didn't have to train with unsheathed claws, he didn't have to kill / try to kill his clanmates, he could've (for example) kept his friendship with Yellowfang, told her about it and she could try to help or give advice. And by the time he became an apprentice, if he had simply stayed friends with Yellowfang (and she didn't have an apprentice) he could've become a medicine cat apprentice. His life would still be difficult, but maybe he wouldn't be so obsessed with power.

@@OrcaAnimus2292 Okay yeah that's true lol, what I mean is when he became an apprentice, he could've stayed friends with Yellowfang, and perhaps he could calm down and learn to care for people. but yeah no that would be.. unlikely
@@FroggoForLife0325 he definitely could have been good! Even starclan admitted he had full choice over his future. He made the bad choice, though i believe perhaps if there was somebody to harness his anger and hardheadedness as a kit, what would he grow into? At least he mightve been a little less cruel maybe?
@@F1zzyp0pzThat seems to be a contradiction between that comic strip at the end and the actual content in Yellowfang’s Secret. Cause the book would imply that he was cursed from birth to be evil, that he would bring fire and blood to the forest, then there’s the comic where Sagewhisker telling Yellowfang he could’ve been good? Yeah…
