I think he would have been the best striker even now if he just had the motivation.
He has serious issue in his mind. I saw stories from liverpool players claiming he would stop trying at all if his training teammates weren't the winnable/better side.
Any normal human would definitely try but his childhood history is so messed up he rather quit before even trying.
I suppose that's why he is so fragile, so worried about how people see him. He is so afraid of missing simple tap ins or penalty, when his issue overtook him, he do stupid tricks when easy chance came to him.
Such a shame.

For those who are wondering, Balo plays for FC Sion in Switzerland. Or rather, he played there because the traditional club was relegated this season and FC Sion is desperate to get rid of him because he played miserably and completely destroyed the atmosphere within the team with his antics. They were in third place or so before he joined. This compilation are the only goals from him (apart from three penalties) and most of the shots were even deflected. What a waste of money!

World is not black or white. Relativity is the key. Balotelli has talent and had discipline enough to get billions and achieve a decent career. Simply he hadnt discipline and stability ENOUGH to perform that extra attitudinal effott to train every day at the same level and intensity which is the only way to become a CR7 or Messi legend over the years, hard workers and talented at the same level. As simple as that. But without a brain and a decent work attitude, which by the way Balotelli was and he is still capable of at 33y, you just disappear from the professional stage at your first season. Balotelli stayed close to the top level almost 10 years, scoring goals and winning trophies.

He'a still only 32 years old.. Balotelli doesn't play for a big club because he doesn't want to. He's seen in all as a kid. This guy was a generational talent and at most of the best clubs and achieved a lot by 23. He just had a lot of trouble as would any young kid given millions with no one to really guide him.
Would love to see him at one more big club to end his career on a high...
