Often when DWTS does a "period dance," the couple just throws on the costume from the era and does a normal dance to music from that decade. Not so here. This was probably the best interpretation of a period dance that I can remember having seen on DWTS. I don't get why Dmitry wasn't on the show longer. Give him a partner like Mya, and he was on fire.
Mya should have won I never watched DWS after that let down. EVER!! All because judge Julie Ann jealousy over Mya. Demitri crying because he lack creativity and Mya did all the Choreography to all their routines. Mya should have been with Derrick Hough.
I remember this so well! That basic freestyle messed them up. Perfect example of the freestyle making or breaking you. She was so capable of more!!! Dmitry!!

Without doubt one of the most creative and entertaining sambas ever done! Mya and Dmitry were the best couple that whole season, I loved them so much!
