Hi in this video I take you on a quick tour of the control unit in the Volkswagen California Ocean, this is the same unit in the T6 and T5, T5.1 so it doesn't matter what model you have, this video will still help.

Is it normal for the panel to only work when the van is running?
It also loses ALL its settings when the van is turned off

Hi Chris, When the fridge light goes off spontaneously in your video does that mean the fridge hasn't turned on properly?

Mine does this! The fridge turns on for 10 seconds then turns off! It's broken

Brian Edwards Hi Brian, I’m not sure if this is even in the hand book as its a hidden option. On the control panel press the back button and the enter button at the same time for a few seconds (back in the bottom right hand side / enter is the middle of the wheel just to clarify). The screen will change to a different one and you need to scroll through to find Spraken or similar then press the enter key, then find English and press enter again. All done, this needs to be done when the system is reset normally if the batteries have discharge etc. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thank you for your advice managed to change the language from French in two seconds. Well done you certainly know your vehicles. I enjoy your instruction on You Tube is fantastic thank you.
