I think they are trying to convey that stop playing around and that they are her,you need to follow them and click and subscribe and all that other stuff and that they want to be the one that saves you from things like either emotionally,etc.

u need to watch the performance of O.O and TANK so you can feel the song more. Cuz the dance makes you feel the song better.

I really enjoy your reactions! Appreciate the thought you put into the songs, even if you don't vibe with them. Personally I love O.O and consider it my favorite GG debut in recent memory, which is a pretty lonely place right now, believe me. 😂😂 To add on to your comments regarding the concept of the song and how it's so disjointed, I think one of the keys is in the lyrics of the first verse after the intro: "Popcorn and Zero Coke...come in, sit down...it's just a teaser." This is evoking the experience of entering a movie theater, sitting down, and watching a bunch of random trailers that are completely different and disconnected from each other. It's almost like NMIXX is presenting O.O as a diverse showcase of all the concepts they can pull off, rather than intending it as a single cohesive song.
Just my take on it, but looking at it through this lens makes me appreciate it a lot more. Also yes, give O.O a listen without the MV, it flows a lot better without the giant pause in the middle. Here's a great video of their live vocals!

I think most people who dont like O.O dont understand it. They think its ONE song with multiple beat switches but in reality it's a MEDLEY of 2-3 songs in 1. It shows their versatility as a group to pull off multiple sounds and concepts.. Then even say in the lyrics towards the beginning (after the coke zero lyric) this is a TEASER!!
It can definitely take a couple listens to understand its a medley, but to many people would rather judge off initial first glance. Its just easier for people to hate what they dont understand instead of taking the time to learn and appreciate it!

As far as I know, this song is called a debut SONG not a debut medley. So it is one song. If I go on Spotify and search it up, it's listed as one song. Let's take NCT's resonance as an example. They already released multiple songs and after that they released the medley. It makes sense. And this one is a debut. It has to be a song that conveys what the group is, who the members are and stuff like that. If they wanted to release this as a teaser then they should've released it as a teaser. I don't HATE this song personally but it's not fair to expect others to listen to it like 3 times to like it. Songs are meant to be liked on 1st or atleast 2nd listen. Not all those who are criticizing are just 'hating' and 'judging'. It's a valid opinion. If they don't like it, then they can't appreciate it.

At first listen I was not a fan but I've had O.O on repeat lately. I will say it sounds better on the studio version without the pause in the middle
I actually liked o.o from the second listen bcs it casually got stuck in my head and surprisely i actually prefer it than tank :)

You have to listen to O.O. as just the song not the MV. The actual song doesn't have the pause between the first and second parts so it flows better. It took me a few times listening to it that way to like it. It's now on my spotify. I would also check out the dance practice. You can really see how talented they are at dancing.
I'm a pre-debut fan of them, I've seen their talents before they've debuted, and as a multifan, I'm excited to see this group debut especially that they come from JYP. And when they debuted, the first listen to it, I'm kinda dissapointed, like it's not what I expected. But I became positive and trust Nmixx, I was supportive on them since day 1. And as day passes by their song became bop, and can't get out from it. I knew it-I knew this group has the potential. Very talented group, and my favorite is Lily, I love her voice so much, prolly one of the best vocalist in 4th generation ❤ Nmixx fighting!!
Ngl now that I’ve listened to O.O more times, it sounds more blended together and not like completely different songs and it’s like kinda good now. I didn’t like it at first I was so confused like everyone else but it got better the more I listened so im glad. ALSO I connected my new wireless earphones to my iPad and played the song and it was on full volume and it wasn’t coming through my earphones and then THE NEIGHBOUR COMES OVER ASKING IF WE CONNECTED TO THEIR SPEAKER AND THAT IT SCARED THEM CUZ IT WAS ON FULL VOLUME I CANT THATS SO EMBARRASING
That Tank connection 🤯🤯🤯. When you put it like that and see the performance it’s just perfect. Highly recommend!!!!
I’ve tried listening to o.o a few times without the MV and while it’s not as jarring, I still struggle. I love so many polarizing songs, but I can’t seem to grasp this one. I’ve always said that I don’t judge a group’s potential by their debut as not every group is blessed with a debut song that fits them perfectly. I look forward to the next single because Lilly can sing!

Lol, the song really describes them.
O.O the lyrics are full of comic book lyrics and phrases which is why it might now make sense but when you consider they’re hero concept it ties together very well
O.O is still my best debut song tho love it
Baila literally means dance. But I think they are more specifically referencing Brazilian dance hall music. Some of their pre debut covers were to baila music or other Latin influenced music.

so from my understanding, basically they're showing the nswers (nmixx's fandom) their choreography like "hey you! watch how cool our dance/choreo is, isn't it nice?"
O.O reminds me of those comics with the sfx (like the zip zap, boom, etc ) comicy (idk what u call that lol) like reactions (e.g.: their title, O.O) and add that superhero. Also, there’s this one where they’re telling the viewer that what they see is just a teaser so don’t be surprised and (at the end they said) it’s time (for the viewers) to blink (since, they’re surprised, their reaction is literally O.O) I think they’ll have a story line separated for this to explain these lyrics like aespa’s black mamba lyrics

Your insights have just helped me to have a better appreciation of their early music. Dice grew on me over time, but their latest comeback Love Me Like This is by far my favourite and way more cohesive in sound and message. They are so talented, but with my neurological issues, my brain gets fried when I can't understand the sounds I'm hearing, so I've struggled to listen to any of their title tracks from start to finish, until now. I can't stop listening to LMLT! Love the choreo too, so cool!

Baila mean Dance in spanish. But girlies, they pronounce Baila wrong, I don't know if it is in purpose.
A in spanish sound like A in the word Alpha. And spanish i sound like english e. So Baila is pronounce BA- E - LA. But NMIXX pronounce Baila like Bala, what its interesting cuz Bala, is an spanish word that mean bullet of a gun.
So when they sing "watch out Baila baila", feels like they mean, watch out bullet bullet at least for me as native spanish speaker 😂
I enjoyed both songs but O.O could have been 2 songs and I would have been fine with that.
