For all those who want to become good at chess but they started a bit late, remember that:
"In 1997 I was only 10 years old, I wasn't that good. I mean, I was only rated 2200"
-Hikaru Nakamura
Ayo tf ?????????
Meanwhile Magnus motivating other guys i struggled so much in chess that i had drew the game with kasparov at 13.
LMAO
@@thomsonjohnson9160 lol
if only im not that good like hikaru at 30
Commentators: “Hikaru is just completely dominating his match”
Hikaru: “why did I do that?” “I shouldn’t even be playing right now, so bad”
" yeah chat I'm not playing well right now"
lengthen his lead by 8 games.... 😂😂😂😂😂
I understand him now, though! I just went to my first chess tournament yesterday, and I won, but I could tell I wasn't playing my best chess. If I was playing my best chess, I would've gotten 8/8 easily, not even close, because the players I played weren't bad, but online I am probably at least 500 rating points above most of them. I got 6/8, but I am very disappointed by my result, which is what Hikaru also feels. Everyone congratulated me, but I was disappointed because I knew that if I played even close to the level I play online, 8/8 should have been easily achievable. I think Hikaru is the same way.

It's remarkable how self-critical Hikaru actually is. Commentators saw Hikaru completely dominating, but Hikaru knew he was shaky at times.
That's why he is so good
He is a perfectionist, no matter how good he is, it will never be good enough.
he has higher standards than the average person. have it myself, but im not skilled at anything.

Congratulations to Hikaru Nakamura for winning this second part of bulletchess, GG!
20:35 brutal way of losing a game
For anyone who doesn't know, the guy who Hikaru beat yesterday went on to crush Anish in the losers bracket. And Anish had proved that he is good at bullet yesterday when he almost beat Jospem. So all that to say, Emin is a strong player, but Hikaru is nearly the epitome of bullet chess.
Hikaru so good in terrible positions.
It's all about playing styles. Hikaru and Anish have completely different styles.
If you look at the results of both Jospem and Emin against Giri then you'd Think Emin is a much better player. But if you look at their results vs Hikaru then you'd think Jospem is a better player. So it's all depend on the styles.
@@BongelaMnguni Thats true.
9:46 that bishop move... Unreal how fast he processes these things. It isn't a fossil because the white queen is defended, it's the threat of the pawn pushing. The knight can't get there in time and the bishop is blocked from defending by a rogue black pawn (after it's forced to capture after Qxe2). The fact that he pulls off tactics like this in a bullet game is bananas.
Wowzer! Hikaru is a beast! Jose is no slouch. Just amazing.
"The turning point was sort of from the get-go" is interview speak for "He ain't got shit on me"
I like the way you play your bully game that was so incredible that you won Hikaru.
He really proved his bully wrong this time…

Hikaru won: Oh this is probably gonna win.
Dang I’m early to a hikaru video
Anyone know the song at 5:25 I can’t find it anywhere 😭
I am surprised there is no "Welcome back everyone in todays video"
It's not a recap bruh
Hello Mr.Hikaru can you play 15 second chess (ultra bullet mod) on lichess?
"Oh can I take? I didn't even see this forever." 9:46 One move and 4 seconds later...
Please do it, please @GM Hikaru Nakamura stronger and motivation
19:28 That face😂😂
28:41 doesn’t hikaru have a fossil to win the queen?
"Hasn't been great. It's been good enough but it hasn't been what I was hoping for, that's for sure."
“Very shaky start for me. I’m gonna win this game, but very shakey start. Hmmm. I don’t feel good about it”
-Hikaru after winning.
This man doesn’t like settling for anything less than blowing his opponent off the board. That sounded sus. Why did it sound sus. I thought that was the saying. Wtf
yes
Enemy is confusing ☕🚬🤔.. Brilliance move from Hikaru nakamura best move on the bullet very good
I like how Hikaru says" we are winning, we are almost to the promised land" when he is winning i feel like i'm winning too!!!...great psychological way to earn subscribers :):) and when he is losing it's on him. Good Job Hikaru. We are gonna win this Tourny! ::

I'm going nuts why can't bishop recapture the queen at 9:49?
Edit: ty guys now I'm going nuts over the editor's music choice
Then b2 and the pawn will promote
It can, but no way to stop the pawn queening. Neither the Bishop or Knight can stop.
I am guessing he is thinking bxc3, qxe2, bxe2, and b2. With unstoppable b1=q to follow.
I never would have seen this in blitz, let alone bullet, but yeah that has to be it.
Not bad mom
Winners final WILL be :
Alireza shock Hikaru with 9.5 points
Hikaru shock the world with 1.b4 and 14.5 points
Wasnt that a free rook at 4:03? What am I missing
If Q takes rook, wQd7 checkmate
Look at you vs Magnus rapid match it is crazy in chess base India and 😊look at my comment because I'm your big fan 😢
No views but 16 likes. I just don't know what being first means anymore.
It never meant anything mate
It means people were still watching the video so youtube counts it when it ends or pass certain amount of time and people just like the video as soon as they enter to watch
Well being first has always meant you got lucky and checked/refreshed your sub box coincidentally the moment that someone you're subscribed to uploaded a video.
Or it meant that a CZcamsr you sub to always schedules uploads to be uploaded at the same time so a person is preemptively refreshing at a certain time since they know the video will be uploaded at that time
Joker laugh
Hi👋
Im so glad you beat that guy. All he knows is to flag
You're so pathetic... This is bullet and Hikaru always does the same
Pls someone clip this 19:26
false positivity is underrated
Why is the first game a draw?
Wasn't he flagged?
it was because Hikaru didn't have any material to mate, it's only a win if the side who did not flag has material to mate the opponent.
Rook and king is winning
@@xyzer586 the side with the rook and king is the one that flagged genius
Insufficient material
Is it rule for only bullet? Sounds new to me.

GothamChess, a popular CZcamsr in the chess community, has gained a substantial following and has garnered attention for his content focused on chess education and gameplay. However, upon closer examination, it becomes evident that GothamChess falls short in several aspects, making him a questionable source for reliable and accurate chess knowledge.
One of the main criticisms surrounding GothamChess is his lack of depth and breadth in his chess analysis. While he may provide entertaining commentary and explanations during his gameplay videos, his insights often remain superficial. Serious chess enthusiasts and aspiring players seeking in-depth analysis and strategic guidance may find GothamChess' content lacking the necessary depth to improve their skills. He tends to focus more on entertaining his viewers with humor and banter, rather than providing comprehensive and insightful explanations.
Furthermore, GothamChess tends to oversimplify complex chess concepts, which can be misleading and detrimental to viewers' understanding of the game. Chess is a game of immense depth, with countless strategic possibilities and nuanced decision-making. However, GothamChess often presents simplified strategies that may work in specific situations but fail to address the broader complexities of the game. This oversimplification can hinder the growth and development of aspiring chess players, as they may be misled into believing that chess can be reduced to a set of simple tricks and tactics.
Another notable issue with GothamChess is his overreliance on gimmicks and clickbait titles to attract viewers. While this is a common practice among many CZcamsrs, it detracts from the educational value that chess content should ideally provide. By resorting to sensationalism and clickbait, GothamChess may be able to generate views and engagement, but it comes at the cost of sacrificing genuine instructional content and educational integrity. This approach can be seen as prioritizing entertainment over educational value, which undermines the purpose of creating content in a niche like chess.
Furthermore, GothamChess' frequent collaborations and matches against lower-rated players for entertainment purposes can also be viewed as detrimental to the chess community. While it is understandable that collaborations can be enjoyable and engaging for viewers, constantly showcasing matches against weaker opponents without providing any educational context can create a skewed perception of skill levels and misrepresent the true depth of the game. It is important for chess content creators to strike a balance between entertainment and education, providing viewers with valuable insights and analysis, rather than simply showcasing victories against weaker opponents for the sake of entertainment value.
In conclusion, while GothamChess has amassed a substantial following on CZcams, his content falls short in several critical aspects. His lack of depth in analysis, oversimplification of chess concepts, overreliance on gimmicks and clickbait, and frequent collaborations with lower-rated players all contribute to his status as a questionable source for reliable and accurate chess knowledge. Aspiring chess players seeking genuine educational content and comprehensive insights into the game may find more reliable sources elsewhere within the chess community.
whoever wrote this is kinda a loser ngl
Yeah chat gpt is cool we all know
In response to the claim that GothamChess's content falls short in critical aspects, it is important to consider the unique appeal and value he brings to the chess community. While it is true that GothamChess has amassed a substantial following on CZcams, it is essential to recognize that popularity does not necessarily equate to a lack of quality or reliability.
Firstly, GothamChess's approach to analysis may be seen as less in-depth compared to some other chess content creators. However, this is precisely what sets him apart and attracts a diverse audience. His ability to break down complex chess concepts into more digestible and accessible formats is commendable. By simplifying certain aspects, he caters to a broader range of chess enthusiasts, including beginners who may find intricate analysis overwhelming.
Furthermore, GothamChess's use of gimmicks and clickbait titles can be perceived as a strategic decision to generate interest and engage viewers. While this approach may not align with everyone's preferences, it is a common practice among content creators across various genres. It is important to recognize that behind the catchy titles, GothamChess consistently delivers valuable educational content that appeals to a wide audience.
Regarding his collaborations with lower-rated players, it is worth noting that GothamChess strives to foster a sense of community within the chess world. By featuring players of different skill levels, he promotes inclusivity and encourages participation from individuals at all levels of expertise. Such collaborations can be valuable for viewers as they showcase relatable challenges and inspire improvement at various stages of one's chess journey.
Finally, the claim suggests that aspiring chess players should seek more reliable sources elsewhere within the chess community. While there are undoubtedly other notable chess content creators, it is unfair to dismiss GothamChess as a questionable source for reliable and accurate chess knowledge. He consistently offers valuable insights, instructive analyses, and entertaining content that resonates with a significant number of chess enthusiasts.
In conclusion, GothamChess's popularity is a testament to the value he brings to the chess community. His ability to simplify complex concepts, engage a diverse audience, and foster a sense of community make him a respected figure in the chess world. While it is important to explore a variety of sources, aspiring chess players should not overlook the unique perspectives and educational content provided by GothamChess.
