      @@GourmetBGourmet I really enjoy your Chanel , and your presentation is on point , but I think The Waterside Inn is stuck in the 70’s let alone the 80’s , I can’t comment on the taste but I thought the presentation was distinctly poor , I could say almost childish and a bit slap dash , the sorbet ball was not uniform , the cheeses looked dry and uninspired there is so many wonderful British cheeses , the selection of bread was a two thirds full basket , the amuse Bouche looked slap dash , I’m not one to critic usually but after seeing your other food discoveries this was a disappointment, and this is three Michelin stars , not a patch on Raymond Blanc who has two stars , and the Chef at the Ritz who’s name escapes me , and only has one star , his food looks and is presented in the most Devine way , I’ve was a chef for thirty years and I think I can look at i5 with a culinary eye , I just think Michelin is too scared too give this restaurant what it deserves , one star at best and that’s only because I can’t tell what the food tastes like , but judging from evry thing else .

    That looks superb. Half the price of the Fat Duck and four times as good. The foie gras and the game dishes looked particularly good. Great to see a lone diner being treated like royalty too.
    As an aside, while a full restaurant is never quiet, your camera seems to pick up a lot more background noise than I am used to eating in restaurants. Maybe that's my poor hearing, or just that when one is there in person one's brain can filter out the background chatter better?

      Why is there anything wrong with that? If you want creative and inventive, off you go to The Fat Duck or Massimo's restaurant in Modena.
      And a word to the wise, avoid L'Ambrosie in Paris- that restaurant is defiantly old school but also has some of the best food you will ever eat.

Mais au final on en revient toujours aux basiques pour juger d une haute cuisine: la perfection des cuissons et des sauces. Et la ça sert à rien de présenter une moule dans l azote ou bien des vers de sable dans un sceau avec des cailloux et des algues. Bref.

  • @eliotwilkie8512
    @eliotwilkie8512 Před rokem +2

    This doesn’t deserve 3 stars in my opinion, and not for a long time. I think its political. Presentation is very poor, foie is over cooked and still got veins. A friend went recently and sent me pictures and it looks like they just don’t care anymore. Can’t comment on the taste and I’m sure it’s good but not close to the standards of other 3 stars. Also agree with the comment about you eating each element individually rather than together, drives me crazy in your videos lol. I do love your channel though and think its a great insight for people who can’t experience this to the frequency that you do. Keep it up
