I usually don't like covers but this is by far the greatest interpretation of another artists song I have ever heard, honestly
As a person with schizophrenia, I can confirm that the video is extremely well done.

Amazing video however I feel sad that a lot of depictions of people living with schizophrenia end in some kind of uncontrolled violent action, i just dont feel it helps some of the stigma surrounding their condition. What are your thoughts?
@@CDUKTV_YT It's a whole another world where you cannot change or rule anything. You just go with the flow of current events or situations and your reaction/actions change based on the current mood/personality you feel. Really hard to describe but anytime I talk about it with someone, they just can't imagine the way I perceive everything around me. It's a surreal world of mine out of time, like if everything was seen through a thick, cloudy glass. A world that changes according to your state of mind.

The original version is one of my favorite songs of all time but ever since this version dropped I've had it on repeat. I absolutely love it.
Anyone with the depersonalization or derealization syndrome, like me, has felt this deep down to the bone.
Sometimes I feel like actually I don't exist. I don't like to look in a mirror because it prompts me to think that "Once upon a time, the person in the mirror was too young, innocent and untroubled as against now". Previously slow/depressive songs could make me cry but today, I came from whereaway till here without tears, it seems that nothing gets enough anymore. Anyway, the cover hit the bull's eye HFTS, congratulations!

Wonderful re-cover of this song HFTS. While the rage-filled version was great, it's honestly a lot more impressive to see you guys are capable to craft different interpretations of a song, that gives a different emotional response while retaining its core message.

Geiler Song, geile Version, aber auch ich bevorzuge die Version vom Aokigahara Album, die klingt einfach etwas roher und aggressiver was meinem Geschmack einfach noch etwas näher kommt!

This cover is cool. It's more broadly appealing. That being said, the original cover was super cool and unique. I just hope this cover brings more recognition to the first one. Actually, I'd love for both versions to be on the phsyical releases.
There's various versions. The original was by Tears For Fears. Then Gary Jules did it on the sound track for Donnie Darko. Now Harakiri For The Sky. I like all in different ways though.

I really like this HFTS cover, also I can very much relate to the lyrics and the video as it describes what people with mental health issues or in my case especially ptsd are going through. Especially the faces which are empty and starring at you in a triggering way really speak to me. This is very different to the version of Mad World on the original Aokigahara which was much more black metal oriented with the vocals all screamed. I like both in their own way but the black metal fan in me prefers the 2014 version.

@@ExtremeMetalLIVEThat wasn't the point with all their other covers... up to now. I'll go as far as saying that whatever this is sounds like another band. This song pales in comparison with Maere, let alone their earlier stuff. The reworks of Harakiri for the Sky and Aokigahara will fall short of the perfection that the originals were. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
The old versions will be still availble so if you more into them - listen to it. Easy it is!

Ich kannte HFTS zuvor nicht, weil ich in dem Genre nicht unterwegs bin - Marylin Manson kommt vllt. noch in die Nähe - mit Verlaub. ☺ Ich finde, dass die cleane Stimme und die süße Gitarre 🥰 und die leisen Chöre eine Bereicherung für den Sound sind, eben weil sie den klassischen Stellen mehr Kraft geben und das Lied abwechslungsreicher machen - was bei Aokigahara eben nicht so war. :) obwohls auch schon mainstream hatte - Linkin Park ^^
da ich euch nie persönlich sehen konnte: es war mir eine freude dabei gewesen zu sein - ich liebe das endprodukt. würd ich echt gerne mal in richtiger Bühnenqualität erleben.
