  • Hi all and welcome back to another video, on this one im doing something a little different and im talking about safety clothing or PPE (personal Protective Equipment) that i need to use in the industry of using a chainsaw etc.
    So first on the list is the awesome and most comfortable helmet that is the Protos Integral Forestry made by Pfanner. This is all explained in the video and make your mind up but many many arborists use this helmet and love love love it.
    Second on the list is the super duper comfy chainsaw trousers made by SIP Protection. These trousers are called "NINJA" and let me tell you, they are super comfy whilst offering frontal protection against a chainsaw cut.
    I arent going to explain in the description so watch the video and see what you think.
    All these items were purchased through Radmore and Tucker, this company was amazing and gave a fast delivery and kept you up to date with shipping information. Go check them out at www.radmoretucker.co.uk/ and if they ever ask, tell them Nick from Everyday with me, Nick sent you.
    As always, leave a comment below or email me at nick.garton@hotmail.com and dont forget to check me out on instagram - Wavy_Wood_Wood
    Thank you all for watching.

    Safety is always under rated. Whether you are felling a tree or sawing logs to lumber or cutting lumber into projects, all stages are not taken serious enough. I know, I have had many close calls because of being complacent. Great video Nick.

    Great video Nick.. PPE is often overlooked and really should be the first thing bought and worn every time.. Those Protos helmets are awesome, love mine..

      Thank you for commenting buddy, its such a shame they can charge so much money for the safety gear to keep you safe.
      The protos helmet is just amazing and fits amazing, the integrated ear defenders are just amazing and super comfy.
      The Ninja trousers are just amazing also and fit really well for a big guy like myself.
      Thank you for commenting buddy

    I really liked this video, Nick. Complacency kills. I have a Stihl helmet much like your first one. It really sucks. It's my second one. My first one broke when I dropped it. Broke the ear protection off one side. However it saved me once when a branch the size of a hammer came out of the tree and hit the top of the helmet. It probably wouldn't have been fatal but it saved my head from a lump. I've thought about upgrading but when I saw the price I was shocked. Also some of the reviews mentioned not for big heads...hmmm. what's your thought about sizing? I have a pumpkin size head. Lol. But 300 Dollars isn't that much when it comes to your head.
    I have 4 pairs of chaps. I make the kids wear them when they come over to cut. Occasionally I won't use them for just a cut or two around the lumber yard but when I'm in the field I always wear them. They too have saved my leg twice. The first time I brought them back to the place I bought them from and he now hangs them on the wall for all to see as reminder to wear protection.
    Great great video brother .

      Thank you Jerry, i appreciate you comments as always.
      Your not wrong, when you take your eyes of things and leave the safety back at home, that is when the accident can happen.
      When you have an accident and have the safety gear on and it saves you from it being very serious then thats when it pays to have any safety gear on.
      You might have to message me with some sizes bud and ill measure my head and see where we stand witht hings. Id say i have a biggish head so ill measure mine against yours 😆 They are expensive but when that helmet is on your head for hours on end, you cant beat comfort.
      You do right with the chaps, i think i need to purchase another lighter pair of chaps for round the sawmill and have them for when i cut all the time, i like my new trousers but i dont want to ruin them being on the mill and wear them for everyday use. Again, they are expensive and only last until they are damaged and should be replaced.
      Thats a fitting tribute to the trousers that have had their use exceeded and show others why the need for chainsaw chaps are essential and required.
      Thank you again buddy, appreciate you bud.

      How do you like your mill ?

    • @goatstead814
      @goatstead814 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@everydaywithmenick I really like the mill, my only gripe is that the engine is not big enough. Definitely could use more horses and I should have bought the bed extension. No fault of the mill there

    • @everydaywithmenick
      @everydaywithmenick  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@goatstead814 i agree the engines are slightly underpowered. They would benefit from the 18hp or even the 22hp as an optional extra engine.
      You can always get a bed extension, i got one for mine and it made a huge difference for the longer logs etc.
      The mill is basic and very capable if the mill is assembled correctly.
