- There has been a sharp rise in the number of migrants trying to enter Hungary. The government has said that more than 1500 illegal migrants enter the country every day. In response to this Hungarian authorities have built a four-metre (13ft) fence stretching the 175km (109-mile) Hungary-Serbian border. The BBC's Nick Thorpe reports.

About 80% of these illegal immigrants are men, and most of them are 18-34. So it's really amazing that the media ALWAYS shows children and women. It's a miracle, probability-wise.

No one is ready for millions of people to just show up in their country. Where are they all gonna go? Who's gonna pay for their houses and other living expenses? Nothing is free and although people are going through hard times in other countries, its not a right to come into another country because you feel like it. After 7 years the fence is working. It decreased the daily 500-700 hundred illegal border crossing to 1100-1300 for a year!!!!
