I just had all the powerful emotions all at once. C&C is like THE formative childhood game I had, along with Diablo. Those two pretty well and good informed TONS of my tastes. My grandfather, father and I all played it. Seeing my fave band use the cheesy cutscenes in one of their best songs to date is just... I know no one reads comments, but it's a surreal bittersweetness I feel now.

Dude, same. WESTWOOD C&C, I should be specific, is and was such a moment in my childhood and still makes me happy when I play them now. Jesus, some of the old games are hard to play, as they're punishing sometimes. But god, I love those FMVs, and of course, klepacki's music is just the iconic.

After 3 months of Health dropped this banger, EA added Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection to Steam, if Health makes Demigods 2 we'll get Remaster Collection 2.
This song really captures how it felt to play Red Alert as a kid and take everything in the live action cutscenes as seriously as you could. I miss those days.
With the vocals muted, this track makes a good main menu theme for a future C&C-game.
It's literally not possible for these guys to touch something and it not turn to gold

The other stuff at the very last 4 bars; if you search for purturbator, dance with the dead, it's called synthwave metal these days. mick Gordon (only thing they fear is you) you'd find. That's also similar to hate dept, kmfdm, combichrist. bile - suck pump album is probably my favorite industrial metal cd ever made. One of the first of the death/core sounds an definantly made to go smash some tvs or wreck cars to. Industrial metal never got big cause industrial people usually didn't like metal. But there is actually a hell of a lot. For some reason hollywood only pushed Rammstein an that was during the years industrial was being shelved. Also hazel und gretyl.
Watch aim to the heads channel if you mean the dark goth electro club stuff. They put out a new 2 hour long mix of that something like every day.

Wow I only recently realized this song is full of gnostic ideas about this world and the nature of the self.
"Shall we renounce from where we've come and who we were" Points at the alien nature of this embodied existence and deep inside many of us feel it because we know we were something else
"Didnt you want to run, didn't you want out? " is about this feeling everybody once experienced in their lives that there is something deeply wrong with this world.
"Sorrow, sorrow now" is a reference to gnostic Sophia.
And the main line "Hear me now you demigods either lift me up or let me burn" is a call for demiurge himself, the gnostic architect of this world to free the protagonist from this existence and reincarnation cycle and let him go to pleroma.
"Loveless child, burden of many" is another reference to demiurge who doesn't know love and is a burden of many since he imprisoned thousands of souls in his loveless world
Shit is definitely deep, HEALTH went from existentialism of "DEATH MAGIC" to Gnosticism.
Gnosticism is heretical nonsense that was crushed by Paul as it was forming. Cool ideas, nonetheless, along with the Forgotten Realms and IRL Greek pantheons.

i really love the new song. Like a retro video game or action movie soundtrack. It's interesting how the opening line "and they pronounced" has so much weight, like you better pay attention
a bit surprised this is the album opener, but it makes sense that the rat wars are declared here, "hear me now you demigods" - which is such an interesting way of sarcastically referring to the oligarchs who might think themselves as such
and then the tempo and time signature change to describe us littler folk caught by circumstance, born a bit too late, and in that fit of muted rage the rat wars begin

You can't deny the heaviness of the C&C franchise soundtracks. A symphony of clanging bells only I didn't say bells.
They’re in the right age range. Everyone our age, who had a gaming PC, was in to C&C.
The whole album is a masterpiece, but I find myself coming back to "Demigods" time and time again.
Just recently I started listening to "Demigods", "Hateful", "Unloved" , "Ashamed" and "DSM-V" during my warm up at the gym, in that order. Fuck, time just flies while I am getting absorbed into this music. It gets my head clear unlike everything else. The whole album would do too, but when I did that I spend way too much time with my warm up.
This band are awesome, like Deftones meets Placebo meets Godflesh; "You'll hear me now, you Demigods, either let me go, or hold me in the dirt"
