Fun fact to go with your new knowledge of Sitka's existence. Sitka is the largest city, by land area, in the United States. Its population however, is only around 9,000. Thanks for watching my friend!
Also Sitka was the Russian capital of Alaska.
Now, today Juneau (only about 95 nautical miles NE of Sitka) is the American US capital of Alaska. Juneau just being a little under Sitka’s land size, Juneau is the largest capital by land area in the U.S (about 3,255 mi²)! While Sitka comes in at (4,815 mi²), remarkable difference! Skylite has been to Juneau as well, you should check it out! Also, Juneau is where I live. 😁

I've seen other videos of planes landing at Sitka, but each time I don't see the Coast Guard Air Station that is supposed to be at the airport.
