I think he is a control freak he wanted to take over and change the shows content. Leslie's career was wrecked by false allegations, he should never have lost his job, and Schofield should not have been employed by ITV then we probably would not have heard anything more about the one time childrens T.V presenter. I think things have changed in the last couple of years. High profile people are being exposed for who they really are
I’m so disappointed in him. I used to really like him. I thought the majority of the time he had strong personal conviction but was generally polite and respectful and when he interviews people he seems to care about the nuances of the issue. I thought his friendship with Holly was adorable and loved them together (though when I realised he was married even wondered if anything was going on between them) but have been amazed at their complete and utter disregard for his long term spouse despite them saying ‘oh we’ll still be a family’. I am so over people using ‘coming out’ as a get out jail free for cheating/grooming’ card.
How is this individual with his known history allowed anywhere near our TV screens.. those working with him are complicit.. advertisers are complicit his behaviours are completely unacceptable..and because there has been no consequence of his actions he believes he is bombproof..

Nice to see Schofield's true persona being exposed. Personally I've never understood why people felt comfortable with him being an advertising front for a company who make millions of pounds from ripping people off by buying their old cars for a pittance - a company that has been fined a huge amount of money for breaking privacy rules on spam texting and emailing. I once messaged Phil to call him out on this and he never replied. He is a man who loves money and power and away from the cameras, is not a nice person.

@@lucius4556 I was hoping he'd have been sacked by now. Out of curiosity I switched on ITV to see This Morning program for the first time in ages only to be greeted by his smug face again. I needed to see how he was coming across on the television. He made me feel sick to my stomach, just seeing this horrible excuse of a man makes me feel that way, I switched channel within 10 minutes, just couldn't bear to watch him much longer, and his co presenter doesn't make me feel much better. I wish they would both just get the hell off our T.V screens. Give the job to a decent couple of presenters. Someone mentioned Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, I'd go with that.
