I just saw her open for Jane's Addiction and Smashing Pumpkins in Atlanta. I knew nothing about her or her music and I was blown away. She and her her band mates killed it. It was an amazing set. My friend and I were sitting only a few rows from the stage on the end of the aisle by the security gate access point and halfway through Jane's Addiction's set, I looked over at my friend and Poppy was standing there beside him, in jeans and a jogging shirt, watching the show for a few moments. It was a surreal moment.
Same here, I was at the Janes Addiction and Smashing Pumpkins concert in Nashville. I had no clue who Poppy was but they put on a seriously good show. They're definitely better live than on their studio album, but that's okay!
I love her - now we just need Mars Argo to come back fully and get on stage too... I love them both and although I doubt it would ever happen would be able to die happy if they put something out together. Different styles but they are both so talented I am sure some common ground could be found - and would by psychotic in it's greatness!
Yeah poppy probably more use to venues...but darn it have we forgotton moms getting prettier and evolving. Into a metalqueen..where the masses can " bow to there matriarch ". Poppy be just fine the queen has found her queendom
If Johnathan Davis of Korn praises her as upcoming face of female rock then I think thats saying something. Hes super into Poppy and wants to work with her in the future.
