Update?
I have never been busier in my life than I have now. A lot of times I’ll stay home but since this breakup I say yes to anything I’m invited to. I take myself out to eat, I go dancing, I have dinner with friends, I am reading, and watching these videos in between. Got a whole new wardrobe, lost weight, & feel better about myself as a person. Does it still hurt? Yes at times worse than others, some days I feel healed but that grief will sneak up on me but I’ve definitely learned it’ll pass & I can cope. Watching the videos certainly brings me back to the realization that no matter what I WILL BE OK! We will all be ok.
True, keeping busy helps . I have never kept myself busier than before but still at times the if only and similar feelings do come in and I feel pretty down . Then after watching these videos it brings some peace and acceptance. Sometimes some people come in and leave and a huge void is there , connections are tough to make and they hurt bad . Life has to go on .

5 things I want to see from my ex:
1 - See a therapist to work on deep issues / blocks we discussed many times and you acknowledged
2 - Reflect on my needs and why I wasn't happy
3 - Own the fact that you promised you would work on your issues with a professional and haven't yet
3 - Give me space
4 - Understand that a relationship is between 2 people with needs
5 - Work on your maturity and learn empathy.
I only wish you love and the courage to do the above at least for the next person in your life rather than being stuck in your patterns and persisting blocks. Own this and see a therapist.
In the midst of doing all these and so damn proud of my growth and change. The old me was a great but the new me is the best. I'm happy to know me.. had contact with my ex finally after nc for 2months. Keep on growing

When my ex broke up with me, I reacted very anxious and tried to get her back. I was going thru a very complex phase of my life. But, after "fighting" back for a week I apologized for some mistakes I did, I wished her good luck, and since then I havent contacted her anymore. This was end of November 2023.

I have been consistently vulnerable, apologised for my mistakes and both acknowledged & validated her feelings but I am dealing with a narc so that has always been used as weapon by her to club me like a baby seal rather than drawing out any similar acknowledgment from her. But my conscience is now clear.
More recently she has been very devious, securing the loan of equipment I own by using a third party to finesse me. Silly bc I would have been very happy to lend it had I known the truth… and I told both her and her coconspirator exactly that…

same here ,ive had contact of sorts but im a month into my latest phase of NC and ive done my best to hide away from areas she may be as we live very close and im 2 months succesful. Joe dispenza does a good morning evening meditation on Apple Music which has helped me this week - I love her and her kids so much and miss them as we were together 4.5 years but my life has to be a vision of the future not a memory of the past

Thanks Craig and Victoria for shedding some light on my ex relationship i am willing show my ex that I am not the anxious person I was before but I doubt she is going to reveal her mistakes I just think that she wants someone there but no questions or pressure on her I know nothing about her and if I try she get upset but she says she loved me make that make sense.

Ex said he'll never come back. That hasnt stopped me from loving and caring for myself. Ive tried to be friends with him but he continues to lie and i hate liars.
I’m seeing a pattern from my ex of periodically coming towards me then taking a couple more steps towards me and then ghosting… I believe that there’s an external influence intruding, partly bc of this stepping towards then running away. I think the emotional step is then over ruled by an intellectual thing

Coach Craig i been doing no contact for 5 yrs now with my ex husband. Then recently we accidentally saw each other in my daughters clinic. I saw him and I’m ok. With it. Swing him. But he didn’t even say hi or ignore me. My daughter saw him and. He looks mad when seing me happy. He walk out in the clinic without even saying goodbye to our 3 kids…. Why he still mad after 5 yrs of no contact and to mention he have a girlfriend already and she is the reason we broke up for 23 yrs of marriage. He seems like he still hate me. Anyway. Anyway, it's been a month of NC. Got a text from her last night that she dreamt about me and hoped I had a good birthday, even though it was 2 weeks ago.

i have a very specific question in terms of i am doing NC with my ex but we work in the same place so i see her at work she broke up with me after 3 years an said she just wanted to be single an that there is a lot of love still i get it i do. She also blames it on her mental health an that is sad because i just wanted to help her. But the NC I'm not contacting her etc but at work I'm obviously civil an just say morning or hello should i be doing that or straight up just like avoiding her at all costs.
How can you show them you are maturing if they are in no contact too ? It's very difficult, especially if they are stubborn ..
My ex used to always block me after every small fight and then would unblock me . With time I started feeling anxious because of this and always used to go around the block and convince him to get back together . He always did usually after 2-3 days . He used to say mean things during fight and after resolving it , he said those things didn't mean anything so i believed him .
This time also he blocked me after telling me he is breaking up with me , as usual i tried to get around the block and tried to convince him for 9 days after breakup but nothing worked . Now I am in NC for 23 days and I really don't know if he will come back or not .
He also told me he is attracted to someone else , but I am not sure if that is true or not ..
It's a form of manipulation and abuse.

My ex started seeing someone after 1 month(rebound probably-hopefully) maybe less, I had became emotionally neglectful due to health issues and i let myself go.. should I still own up to my own behavior and show that empathy after reflecting on myself and apologize about treating her this way etc... ? Hey , i just wanted to ask, its been nearly 1.5 months of my breakup and i haven't contacted her. Neither has she. My ex just reached out to me and i know she missed me because she cried to me but she didn’t tell me. She wanted me to come around to have Sex but i declined and then told her that we can’t continue having this small talk because she broke up with me so i can’t be available to her. I told her it’s just myself for now and her to herself. We broke up late september so it’s not been long and she’s proceeded to block me now but i know now she is going to start her stage of grief like i’ve been feeling. They’ll know bc you’re not contacting them to let them know you’re working on yourself. You disconnecting is one of the best ways to show “Hey, I hear you, I hear what you’re saying and that’s ok. I’m gonna just do me instead.” They will start to become curious (it sounds crazy, Ik, I was thinking the same shit when I heard all of this but it’s actually true). And when they become curious, that’s when they’ll move from not only unblocking you on different stuff, to looking at all of your posts again, to acting weird in public around you (my ex and I go to the same college). Her friends might ask how you’re doing or something random like that. Move forward and if you had a solid basis for the relationship, results will come.

DO NOT REACH OUT! Trust me, they will start coming around. I’m in month 6 of NC and ( as much as this must hurt to hear) they are finally starting to come around. My ex is avoidant but she has begun stalking my social media religiously and will stare at me in public places or act strangely in other ways around me whenever we cross paths. They begin to crack with time and eventually they reach out. That may or may not mean they want to get back together but you will progressively begin to chip away at their armor so to speak and they start crumbling under the pressure of losing you. Let it do it’s work!
