Hisoka in the 1999 really was the first character in anime history to say gyatt
They take hisoka pic from the GI ova which has different art from the regular 99 one 😭 in the regular one, hisoka is scarier

2011 more colorful/semi-nostalgic (since I've already rewatched this version 10 times in past 10 years lol)

I think both artstyles have their merit (im talking about how their drawn not how the animes were produced) but the 2011 characters specifically the non rough ones have a more cutesy look to them but the 1999 one has a rough look to it i prefer 1999 but for someone like ponzu i prefer 2011
Uh some of those characters did not came out in the 1999 version but rather the 2003/2004 OVA sagas which I will admit was a different newer style I think early Digital Concept, even though I still digged Killua's design and Hisoka's the 2011 ugh...shouldn't of never happened...if anything the 2011 should of just been either a movie or a finally series...what the hell were they thinking.
Thanks to the 2011 many people got to know HxH and the CA arc was finally animated.

2011 version is cool because of its animation and chimera ant arc. 1999 version is the original version, where the real killugon friendship is seen! So I would prefer 1999 version!

Alguém me explica por que fizeram o remake de HXH envés de continuar de onde parou o de 1999?
because they had inserted too many fillers...and then let's face it, the arc of the chimera ants would not have been the same
Na época de produção o arco não tinha sido finalizado, devido aos atrasos na publicação do mangá semanal o anime de 99' foi atrasando com fillers, mas não foi o bastante. O máximo que fizeram foram OVA's do Greed Island

In fact, due to the fact that the author is in a bad state and they always watched the anime, the manga was on hiatus for several years and still is for the health of the mangaka. Even the hxh ovas came out after several years and you can see the change in the animation and that it has more shine

I’m not hating 2011 but since i was 1999’s watcher when i saw remake of hxh 2011 I barely couldn’t watched it cuz the artstyle and palette was so different and somehow weird in my eyes..also the soundtrack not good enough..but i need to watch chimera arc so i rewatched 1999 and continue to 2011 after greed island 😂
