The author is incorrect, "NEVERMIND" did not "take off and dominate everything else." In fact it did squat - which is what the label expected it to do, why they only printed about 41,000 copies. There was a virtual blackout on FM radio of their music, it only played here and there at night. It was not until the release of the video for SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT on one of MTV's shows for new talent that things happened. Like Madonna, Nirvana was a creation of MTV.
