Was actually kind of curious about what pirate stuff they were gonna do, now I know I don't have to come back to wow for now.
Can't even login to the game because of this dumb event. I want them to fix real PvP with our actual characters we have invested in. This is just the foundation of a new mobile or console game. The rewards are hard carrying this dumb game mode, without the mounts on the renown track I wouldn't even touch this.

Exactly. PVP has been neglected for months now and we find out the reason is so they can add this awful game mode that will be dead in a week. Frustrating.
"fix pvp" Lmao pvp was nvr fixed it was thrown into wow back in vanilla. WoW is a pve game always has and always will be. Enjoy the bone you get.

Yeah, I've grown tired of being stomped by someone being a level or two higher than me. Like if it was a bit of an advantage okay, but it's basically "if they're higher level, run or just die as they have gap closer ability" because the power disparity are huuuuge. Plus some powers are gamebreaking - the fire swirl is a win button and there's also a night fae spirit form ability that seems like an endless reset button
This mod reminds me of the game Spellbreak.
Spellbreak devs got hired by Blizzard Activision one year ago, then Spellbreak became unavailable for play. Suffice to say that likely Bizzard just took the idea and shoved it into their game engine lol.

I really cant put it into words, but it doesn't feel like wow. No Auto attack, no tab targeting. everything is just a AoE thunderfuck.

Played it for 8 hours straight after work. Can honestly say, it is not balanced, not fun with how RNG it is, especially considering you need Fire Swirl to win. I feel the general sentiment is that, we would have taken literally any other content.

I think it is cool that blizzard is taking risks and trying new things like this and sod, not hyping them up tons, THEN letting you down... there was no marketing for thisn so don't act like you've had big expectations for this for months or something then let down. Enjoy it for what it is. Maybe they will improve on it!

trash grind mode for cosmetics. about as fun as a prison term
lol "into a one shot" doesnt make any sense, if you have to do multiple things, anything you do afterwards is not a one shot, its a combo kill. a one shot means you go up to an enemy press one button, and they insta die.
yeah this really bugs me atm. everyones like "zomg so much dam, 1 shotting!" and nothing happens, or 18 buttons later something happens.
