  • In June of 1996 we visited Santa Fe's Chillicothe Subdivision at West Chillicothe & Houlihan's Curve. This is part of the busy Transcon route running from Chicago to the west coast. By this time, BNSF was a few months old, though nearly all power was still sporting AT&SF colors.
    In this video we'll see a plethora of Santa Fe powered hotshots as well as a trackage rights train from Southern Pacific. Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief also makes an appearance before being routed onto the former BN route from Galesburg to Chicago the following year. A Santa Fe Business Car even makes an appearance on the tail end of an eastbound stack train.
