In Sweden (or at least in my family) we always bring some food first thing in to a new house. Also a superstition. It’s to make sure that there’s always food in the house for the future. The same with wallets, you put money in it right away for “good luck” and so that there’s always money. So I totally get the superstition/tradition of always bringing food first thing. 😄
The Filipino superstition is still alive. Yesss
