Came back here after The Batman (2022) because the whole time I was wishing that he had played the Riddler in the movie
I had these exact thoughts, I love Paul Dano but not as much as I love Matthew. I'm not the biggest batman fan ever but when I watched The Batman I found that I loved the riddler and realized I loved him because Matthew voiced some version of the riddler earlier

Why does it look like he hasn't washed his hair in five years?
Erin Korsluna He does, Matthew is just an artsy type of guy who probably just washes his hair in the shower, and however it dries is how it is. You can see in a lot of pictures on internet, his hair just looks so clean and shiny you can almost see natural blond highlights in it. When he's been on the Red Carpet, his hair is very well groomed, the floppy "just air dried" look suits his quirky personality. Plus, from being familiar with a couple of actors who have been disclosed as having bad hygiene, I'm sure if he really didn't wash his hair, we would have heard about it. Two actors in particular, I've read in several sources, have terrible hygiene. One did modeling as well as acting, according to sources, when he took off the clothes he modeled in, they stunk.
