When this song came out my son who was 2 would sing the “oooh ooooh” part. We saw him last year January 2022 sitting in a restaurant in Parkhurst and I shouted his name whilst in the car. He came to us spoke to my my son and gave him first pound. My niece 20yr old was there too. She almost died. Aka was magnetic such a beautiful soul. He received us with such warmth - a crazy mother, fan struck niece and a 6year old shy boy.

This song reminds me of a time in my life when I thought I was about to take on the world. I was in matric and I really believed AKA when he said the world was my oyster. 5 years down and life has been kind but mostly unkind, I feel like I am stagnant and not moving forward in my life. Academically I am so behind, when it comes to achieving my dreams and projects I am passionate about it feels like there are things holding me back. I hope to come back to this song 5 years later with a different story.
