- So the Chuck Taylor high-tops and the Nike blazer mid 77 get a lot of love from a lot of people and they're probably the most popular sneakers on my channel. Because of this, I thought it would be fun to compare the two and talk about which pair is the best. I’m going to run through the differences, the pros and cons, and the sizing of each shoe so hopefully, it will help anyone out who is deciding between the two. I’ll also let you know which I would buy if I could only choose one and my reasons why.
They are both very versatile and simple sneakers that will go with pretty much anything, no matter what style you are into.

1974, I was 8 and had my first pair of Black Converse High Tops - I was King of the world. Wore them until they both had holes in the soles. I would put notebook paper in them in order to keep on wearing them, if my mom discovered holes in my socks when doing laundry that would have been the end of my beloved Cons. Walking home from school one day my Mom pulls up and I get in the car, she had just been at the school as they had called concerned that I needed shoes. I simply didn't want to let go of my favorite shoes. Next morning I woke up and there were a brand new pair of Black High Top Converse next to my bed. I cried, they had thrown my old ones away.

I’d argue neither of the shoes are made for comfort. It’s a more style driven agenda. They both have little sole cushioning
Yeah, I agree with you. There are a load more better options for comfort. These are probably lowest down out of all my sneakers. The cushioning is far better still in the converse IMO though
Converse are still the most comfortable shoe I’ve put on my foot.

I use both for lifting, court sports, and fashion. I find that converse have better traction, the blazers are easier to clean, and both are perfectly fitting

Converse are versatile. Can rock it anytime, anywhere.

Chuck's are timeless shoes. Blazer's hype up sneaker and brand. I choose the chuck taylor
Now Nike owner of Converse brand. I love Chuck 70, but like blazers to...and in my city dont see lot of them on the foots (worldwide hype). Maybe later buy blazers in low suede version.

The blazer is build better and more comfortable.
I won't said Blazer are hyped up, there not on the same level nor playing field of the Nike Dunks. But I do agreed the Converse has more versatile due it's more slimmer appearance. If anything the 77 Vintage Blazer Low is the way to go if your going to rock with the Blazer.
i personally prefer the look of the blazer, and i prefer the regular all-star chuck taylor i just like the look of the 70 but still amazing shoes

I personally like Converse's style more, I find it a bit less streetwear. Anyways, despite I like both of them a lot, I cannot wear the Blazer because they're a bit too tight at the front part for me. I like this "VS" format video, another one including the Vans Old Skool might be really interesting. Thanks for the video and enjoy the weekend mate!

I have just bought suede black blazer mid. So far loving its style and it felt comfy for shorter or midrange walks
In terms of versatility, the blazer mids in coconut milk are an off white alternative that may be a touch easier to style as it's unicolor all the way around. Great video as always!

I moved to a new swimming pool recently and it’s an outdoor one. I tan very easily and my skin tone has changed tremendously now. When I try to wear certain colors like light beige or whatnot, it always looks so weird on me now. I would love to see a video on what colors to wear depending on your skin tone!

It used to drive me mad lacing these shoes up to put on/off. I found some decent elastic laces and now slip them on and of with ease. They’re go to shoes now. Game changer for me 😂

whoa i happen to have both of these, would say the 70 chuck insole is super cushy, and works well with most of my wardrobe but I have a soft spot for retro nikes! I think the converse would win just in terms of range of use.

Chuck 70s are just an overall classic. They are way more comfortable than blazers and the regular chuck Taylor shoe. Super versatile and chucks can go with any and everything. I own about 7 pairs and I’ll continue to purchase chuck 70s.

I own blazers and your feet will get use to uncomfortable long walks, You can unlace 2 - 4 levels and loose every level and saggy lace the shoe (Hanging short untied lace) which makes it very easy to put on, and won't fall off easily. Blazers are super easy to clean, super durable, it is leather but they do not get creases, they get small shape deformations which is very cool. The sole and front part of the shoes are super durable, they don't get scratches or wear offs, just dirt and dust stains. Plus they look cool.

When it comes to canvas shoes, like chucks or vans, and shoes that aren't canvas but keep the same vibe like the blazers or air force ones, I actually prefer the beat up kinda dirty look, just fits the vibe :)

Personally I'd roll with the Chucks, and that's not because I have anything against the Blazers. It's the fact that nowadays when I go searching for shoes, I look more for versatility and I don't feel like the Blazers can offer me that. With the Converse it feels easy to experiment with different styles all while being able to stick to my own.

I don’t really use it to be honest. I kinda just go by eye and what I like together. I think it can limit you and takes the fun side out of fashion for me a little. I can do one but it isn’t an area that interests me hugely I’m afraid.

I’ve recently got Blazers 77 & they are so comfy.
Mine hurt for one day and now they’re comfy
But blazers are like impossible to put on in the beginning and idk about the chucks but I think they are a nice shoe just from the looks

As someone that found my love of chucks in highschool Ive been noticing the blazer a lot recently & even though I feel it catches my eye because of the shape Im not shameful to admit Im digging it and considering grabbing a pair of my own

Converse are my favourite shoes in the world. Comfy, stylish, timeless and like Harry said just a blank canvas to work with and most importantly it doesn't take me an hour to put on!

Really like the design of both of them, but the fit of the blazers didn’t suit my feet - long and narrow. Unfortunately ended up selling the blazers after a few wears

I feel like id rather grab the chucks or even pf fliers as a high top because of breathability and style tbh, but prefer the nike blazer as a low top. Mostly because with the low top nike its less restrictive but also still has the thickness and durability of the leather/padding. all are great shoes that have a place for a myriad of styles

i love my blazers. I know they’re not the most comfortable but they’re not completely awful to walk in. also I don’t lace mine up which i like the look of and also makes them very quick to get on 😂

As much as I love both models, my love/hate relationship with Converse irks me the most. The Chuck Taylor is a timeless model, but the sizing is all wonky for me. Regular fitting shoes ( Nike, adidas, Vans…etc) for example I’m a solid US 9, for Cons however, I’m a 7-8.5 and really no two models for the same for me.
If I had to choose one model, I’d go for the Chuck 70 but only if I can try on irl.
i have both and i recently got the platform converse and i went 2 sizes down than my regular nike shoes and they fit now but it was annoying dealing with it
I wear the blazers for work, which orginal did wear converses but I role my ankles inwards which I can do with the converse, but with the blazers it's basically impossible because of the thickness around the ankle and restictness which has really helped my feet from hurting a whole lot less because I'm not standing on the side of foot anymore
I like converse for a more vintage/laid back style and blazers for a street wear style
I love the All-Black Leather Chucks....But they don't help me sleep at night 😌

@Jon Doe both shoes are flat. I would say that the chuck 70 is slight bit more cushioned than the mid77. Mid77 is all about aesthetic tbh. If not for that good-looking swoosh logo, I wouldn’t buy it 😂

Mids have way more fashionable options from colors to patterns and they have all sorts of textures from snakeskin, to suede, to full leather

i have both. i recommend blazers in the winter and converse in the summer, but loose laced blazers is good for the summer but gets a bit hot

I had a white chuck taylor and it is nice and comfort to wear daily
to me, the chosing factor is the price, and that's why the converse never fails
They are extremely expensive for what they are tough. I like Converse Chuck's style a lot but 55 bucks (or 85 for the 70's) is insane for such a shoe made with super cheap materials.
I just bought hot pink and lavender blazers for school. They’re super comfy and cool. I’d recommend them, altough there are some cons, they are very hard to put on so if you’re gonna go to a friends house and have to take ‘em off often, then not recommended.
I have both and Converse 70 are my favourite shoes in the world. I wear them everyday and have for like 18 months. I just wore a hole in the toe, I think this shows how much I have worn them. I got then blazers because they look sick. I haven’t worn them much. Kinda uncomfortable aswell

Have not tried 70’s, but absolutely hated the Chucks I did try. One pair literally fell apart while I was walking one day. Currently wearing a pair of Blazer mids, coincidentally. Comfort is gonna vary a bit by the release, but I’ve grown to love the shoe. I’m also a wide footer and can attest that it does look narrow, but the interior is actually just pretty average; not wide, not narrow. It’s a great shoe. Plus, there’s so many more colorway options.

I have both and the reason for that is I needed a new replacement for my converse I still wear both because they are so similar if I want something whiter I’ll go for the blazers that really is the only difference…. And the short odd design for the toes on the blazers.
