Freddie is red
Deaky is blue
Hot space is a great album
And I hope you think so too
Haha great! Yes I think that too!
Nope
Yup
Not really.
Freddie is red
Deaky is blue
This album fucking stinks
Out the window it get threw
Brian May wrote this song. Brian May. Let that sink in.
exactly my thoughts, dude, hahahaha :p
I would expect him to always write romantic kind of song! this is some good rock! never expect BRI of all people to write this!
Great job Brain. What a versatile song writer!
Yeah. He also wrote Fat bottomed girls and Tear it up...:D
That's probably why it kicks ass
Queen is the best at glam rock, heavy rock, pop music, opera, jazz music, waltz and folklore and even disco and funk music. Incredible!!! I dont usually like this disco stuff but this Hot space album is great
Swedish American What about "My Melancholy Blues"?
And dreamers ball sounds jazzy
check
They were pretty good and versatile, but HELL NO they WEREN’T the ‘best’ at funk or disco lol
@Swedish American
My Melancholy Blues = Piano Jazz
Good Company = Dixieland Jazz
Bring Back that Leroy Brown = Ragtime (="Pre-Jazz")
Cool Cat = (arguably) Smooth Jazz
I love how Hot Space immediately had the 80's soundXD
@andy morris an album made in 1981 isn't exactly "following" the 80s.
And I would say an album that inspires Michael Jackson to his greatest work is pretty much "leading".
@andy morris Whilst nobody could argue with you it's by far Queens worst album, I cannot agree that they were 'rehashing 80's trends'. When this was in production, bands such as Adam And The Ants, Bucks Fizz, Shakin' Stevens, Human League and The Police were dominating the charts. I WILL agree that Freddie had spent too much time in gay clubs listening to the underground music of the time and wanted it brought to a very reluctant band. The album was so divisive within the group that when they had 1983 off, there was serious doubts as to whether or not they'd ever get back together again ...ever. An interesting side-note is that almost all of the main tracks of 'The Works'....Radio Gaga, I Want To Break Free...etc...were written in 1982 before the break...and when the band resumed in 1984, theyd forgotten most of the tracks they'd written themselves, and had to have them played back to them by session musicians who'd remembered them.
@andy morris
I love this album
@@celt67 Art is subjective. To me this is one of their best albums.
As Orwell said "There is no objective standard against which to measure was is and is not good art"
They are the 80s sound! They invented the beauty that is considered the 80's.
Hot Space is a very good album,I don't care what people say. This songs always put me in a good mood :)
I really like this album too. It's just shows that Queen could play, and Freddie could sing any style of music. There is a song for every mood you could possibly be feeling. Dancer is really a great feel good song. How can you not dance to this song.
I find it good because Pop in the 80s was a lot fucking better than what it is now and Queen did Pop very well
I just purchased Hot Space. I personally love the album. I haven't heard all of Queen's albums yet. I would day it's not their strongest album but it's still better than what we have from the last few years.
@andy morris shut up andy we all have different opinions and if other people enjoyed this album let them enjoy it, the hell. i do like it as well and it doesn't matter that it wasn't in "queen style", they've always been a versatile band with songs that went from hard rock to ballads to more and this album just proves that, which doesn't absolutely make it a negative thing at all. if you don't like this album that's good but let people enjoy things smh
@Lee Lemony but John didn't particularly like Hot Space either! He was totally absent on this song (with Brian playing synth bass). He was also absent on Action This Day, with Roger playing bass. On Staying Power and Body Language, the bass parts were played by Freddie and John just played rhythm guitar. John only contributed one song on the album, while also sharing a co-credit with Freddie on Cool Cat. It's a misconception that John was a fan of this album and enjoyed making it just because of his "funk" influence.
“HOT SPACE LET'S GO!!”
My favourite part!!
William Campbell !!Hi!
And brain may wrote that
The best part of the song!
00:00 - 3:55 best part
I agree.
3:55 is the worst part tho
@@whatamidoing5836 Yeah, because there it finishes
The first few seconds suck. (intro)
Michael Jackson was inspired by this album - nuff said.
And that's why I purchased it. 😊 MJ's endorsement is enough for me. Yes it could've been stonger if Prenter hadn't been in Freddie's ear.
Really!?
Admiral George Rodney OMG REALLY? 😍😍
True! It was said he loved this album so much. I even heard that "Thriller" and "I wanna be startin' somethin'" was strongly influenced by hot space (specfically Staying Power)
@@michaeltaylorarmstrong4314 MJ was also the person who recommended to Queen to release Another One Bites th Dust as a single. He was a fan.
I don't care what anyone else says, John Deacon was the best thing about Hot Space. His bass lines were the redeeming quality of every song on this album to me and that is proven here. Solid work
the funny thing is john didn't play bass on this track. Brian played synth bass
Rohan R. Facts that says something
@@sionejackson7745 something that is true
that bass isnt John, its Brian on a synth
@@rohanr.9714 he did on every single song but this one tho
It's fun how Queen can do everything they want to regarding music. Even May knows how to write a danceable tune, it would have sound so great live.
I am glad that we are not alone in like the Hot Space album
In a parrellel universe If Muse were to release this song exactly the same just heavier it'd be a top hit... people at the time just failed to appreciate all the flavours of Queen.
+SuperLuigirules1 exactly! Muse is the closest we have to Queen these days.
+SuperLuigirules1 true
The singer of Queen is trying to imitate Freddie Mercury.... the singer of Queen...?
Exactly This sounds so much like muse
unlike muse queen made great music with every album. even this album. muse was amazing for the first 4 albums maybe 5. after that pure shit.
I want to see Freddie's dance moves to this song. Extraordinary to visualize
omg yes
There is not one song that manages to fuse rock and disco as majestically as this song. One of their most underrated songs (both by critics and the band). This (and back chat) would fit like a glove on Thriller. Just amazing their versatility and contribution to basically every music genre.
Me:
My brain at 2 am: *_DANCER, DANCER_*
I think we have the same brain!
X2

Problems of being a Queen fan: reading “brain” as “brian”
Same😂😂
One of Brian´s best solos ever !!!
*HOT SPACE LET'S GO!*
The guitar solo Just perfection
He's a fuck*ng God!!! Thanks Brian!!!
That's DiscoHeavySolo😮
hot space is such a great album!!! i mean it shows how flexible the whole band is. it's truly amazing
*It’s impossible not to dance to This song*
I love the guitar solo on this track. Honestly, this album had some great solos, like on Back Chat, Put Out The Fire, Las Palabras, Life Is Real, etc. The live version of Staying Power power has some amazing guitar work from both Brian and John.
those guitar solo riffs though!
That's the uniqueness and greatness of Queen; they never were a band of a certain genre. They made music in almost all genres and whatever they did, they did it at its best! Great song!
Freddie really has that kind sense of fine music, even people at that time didn’t appreciate, but we now are listening and enjoying.
Brian: "I don't like the funk and R&B direction this album is going!"
Also Brian:
God, what an amazingly versatile singer Mercury was. Insane talent.
I will never get why people hate the Hot Space album. I love it. I just gotta groove when when listen to it 😍😍👌🙌
Hot Space was the album that convinced me that Queen HANDS DOWN had more versatility than any other rock group on the entire planet 🌏
The songs are even better when they were done LIVE ....
What a great album shows you how artistically free they all were.
Before Bruno Mars, there was this.
picturedlife1 🤓you hit the nail right on its head. EXACTLY 😉😜
This is better
Justin Timberlake too.
before Bruno Mars there was alot, you ingorant child.
@@Fcblover was talking about the musical arrangement you whatever.
Dr May never ceases to amaze me with his wife spread of various talents. Happy birthday legend!
Brian kills it with this and every song that he wrote. Actually they are all amazing at songwriting so I guess that’s why they are my absolute favorite band👌😊
One of Queens most under-rated songs ever!
Hot Space is a fun album.
Honestly, I really don't understand why so many people hate Hot Space. Sure, it's different, but it's fun and got great songs on it. This is just one of the underrated gems from that album (I also love Put Out The Fire, Calling All Girls, Action This Day, Back Chat, and Cool Cat).
One of their most underrated songs. Perfect blend between disco and rock with amazing vocals and guitar work. Shame that the album was a bit hit or miss. Still, this song remains my favourite from this album
Freddie's voice in this record is just the best. I'm a man but yeah.. really sexy voice
I absolutely love this album, I don't normally dance but play this album and I'm up boogying.
I was born in ‘86 and this album, along with their greatest hits, were the only Queen LPs in my parents’ record collection. Because of that, I have an affinity for this album
*_"hot space let's go"_*
Great piece. Really good album.
The guitar solo is pure genius.
This song kinda reminds me of Michael Jackson
Luna and Kitty, reminds me of Gary Cherone and Nuno from Extreme.
yeah michael jackson said that the whole hot space album inspired the sound for thriller
There is only 1 beanbirb I was about to comment it.
Its cause rhis album inspired MJ to do Thriller (and I wanna be startin somethin i think)
Wonderful song. Love you Freddie.
This song made me full of energy !
💪💪sooooo good music 🎶
This song, all day replaying in my brain. It's catchy.
queen was so ahead of their time really
This is a top Tune!!!!!
Hot Space is one of my favorite albums. Great content. I remember Body Language when I was 6! Love it more now nearly 40 years on! Queen could play anything! Goat’!
Ikr hot space is the best album to me
Brian played Synth bass in this song , while John played the guitar in Back Chat. Something definitely happened in the studio, lol
The way he says "My body cries" yeah it does.
I'm obsessed with this song, probably my favorite out of the whole album! 🥰
Hot Space was three years ahead of its time.It was a precursor to Thriller. Funk and Rock/Pop with incredible Lead Guitar from Brian.
Imagine how famous and praised Hot Space would be if it were released today.
almost as famous as your theme, giorno
I don't see why people dislike this song so much.
Brian May saved the album with his songs on it. He wrote three very powerful ones that made Hot Space at least sound like Queen.
I’m a 99% sure Brian wrote this about Disco Deaky
Summer of 2021, Let's see how many people are listening to this masterpiece.
This song is legendary, oh God
Was not ready at the time. Enjoying it now.
Probably one of my favourite queen bass lines. It’s so good
I don't know what all the fuss is about, I happen to like Hot Space!
Kreed of Krieg Under Pressure was a seperate project that just happened to be featured on this record.
+Ka D'Argo it's an incredible album. People tend not to like it cos Queen completely abandoned hard rock with this release. I absolutely love this album.
Hello again Curly Toes haha, true though, it's brilliant ;-D
oh I just realised lol! Helo mate:)
+Ka D'Argo I think maybe because it's so synth heavy compared to Queen's earlier albums. Might have been a bit too far outfield for their fans to like it.
Don’t understand why critics didn’t like this album that much. I LOVE Hot Space 🔥🔥🎶🎶
conspiracy theory: brian wrote this song about john
Sure!
....... and then didn't have him play on it!
as payback for backchat
Rodney McIntosh it’s a joke calm down
Also a theroy:
He probably saw John dancing while he was trying to come up with a song.
*i mean,*
40 years of Hot space.Very good and ubderrated album in my opinon.I love the synthetizers on this song, man. Its so cool.
this album is so good
Great song.
First person to listen to this banger in 2024
First person to listen to this banger in 2023
Lucky
It's amazing that no one gives this song any recognition! Lately, we're hearing some of Queen's lesser known tracks - like I Want to Break Free - but you never hear Dancer! Never! I love this song! Freddy's vocals are amazing, as always, and Brian tears it up with his guitar. You don't even have to be a Queen fan to admit this song kills it!
How is I Want To Break Free a lesser known track
Dam, never expected to find a good disco album from Queen of all bands.
No clue why anyone would hate this.
Hot Space let’s go!
1:20 my favourite part
great sound..funky power
Amazing vocals
How was hot space a bad album I love it it’s one of my favourites it has really 80’s vibes
I don't care what people say about this song.
It's time to strut!
Another underrated queen song !!!!!!!!!!@
Truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoever disliked this video doesn’t know what music is
Me: every band has got a bad song
Queen: are you sure about that darling?
QUEEN FOREVER!
This week I started ninth grade, and fell asleep just 4 hours before the first lesson, because this song did not leave me, another great song from bri
Hot Space is in fact a great album, my favourite. And Dancer is my favourite song!!!
This song is inspired in how Brian feels in the Queen´s partys
Love the hotspace album, especially this song and staying power always get me dancing. And I don’t dance!
This is one of my most favorite songs from this album. It just gets me grooving
I dont care what people say TOO!FREDDIE is FREDDIE.
EXCELLENT.
Hot space reminds me of Chris Cornell's Scream in that they sit differently to the artists catalogue and yet are at the very high end of that genre.. absolute favourite Queen album
even tho brian didnt like the idea of a funk/dance album he still wrote the best song on the album 😂😂
QUEEN "HOT SPACE" Bring on the funk and dance the night away.. Always did Love this LP...So Cool. So Funky...
Freddie makes a lightweight song fun and above average just with those amazing vocals of his!!!
1:41 HOT SPACE!!
1:07-1:15 - what a vocal!!!
It should be performed live. Heavier, more improvised. Great song!
Ok everyone say thank you Brian
Thank you, Brian 🖤😍
Any song that makes me tap my foot or bop my head up and down cannot be bad! I never judge a song by the first time i hear it - there are a number of Queen songs from their earlier albums that i was kinda like "eh" about until i heard them a few times like Good Ole Fashioned Lover Boy and Drowse. But now i love them. Queen had such a unique style that was unmatched by another other band i've ever heard and i love that they tried new things because being the same is just boring, darling! :)
Amo esta canción! Es de mis favoritas de Hot Space, el álbum más inusual pero más disco y funk de Queen, Dios Salve A La Reina! lml
Good song, and i usually Dont like disco songs
Disco rock
Nice profile picture
i LOVE this album
