    I used to play with my older brother's 3-rail Lionel train, then one Christmas I got a bunch of HO stuff. I really liked the HO.

    I had this station, I had the sections of track that stops the train a couple of sections past the station, so the train stopped with the passenger cars at the station.

      Aside from the usual advice to check the condition of the internal wiring inside the station, and to ensure the slider switch under the roof is not set to 'continuous', these number 132 stop stations can have another issue. Those long rods running from the base to the control switch and lights under the roof, sometimes can work loose from heat. Metal expands when it gets hot, contracts again as it cools. It's this principle that the stop circuit works on, in fact. I ended up removing the rods and hard wiring the one we use at the Wisconsin Auto Museum, simply because we needed absolute reliability. Since the station's stop circuit gets used roughly a hundred to two hundred times a day, I was reseating rods every few weeks.

    I’ve seen these stop stations before…. How does it stop the train without changing the e-unit position (direction)?

    • @davidwilk5160
      @davidwilk5160  Před 9 měsíci +2

      You have to set the E unit in the forward only position.
