Apart from the nagas living in myanmar who were demarcated without their consent into the then Burma by India and myanmar the rest of the nagas living in other states have only to blame themselves/their forefathers. When the state of nagaland was being formed the nagas living in manipur were requested to join the new nagaland state but they refused. Even the Rengmas in Assam were requested but they refused. For that matter even the karbis were requested to join the new state. But i would suggest that they be like karbis who have won autonomous region. Nagas of nagaland don't want integration now because of too many bloodshed have taken place and the mistrust. Maybe a time will come for another generation to make amends. The nagas of nagaland don't owe anyone anything we have already tried our best.

There’s nothing to gain or to learn from nagaland nagas as well. Nagas from neighbouring states are supposed to look at nagaland as beacon of unity and integrity but all we see is corruption, nepotism, drug and poverty. Mid to late 20th century was time when true naga leaders actually struggled to achieve something for their people. Today’s naga leaders only work to fill their pockets and feed their families. Dont get yourselves in this senseless politics, but I’d suggest the naga youths to study and make actual difference in their society.

It will show you how united people were even when they were living far from one another in distant lands and there were no means of communication. Apart from the nagas living in myanmar who were demarcated without their consent into the then Burma by India and myanmar the rest of the nagas living in other states have only to blame themselves/their forefathers. When the state of nagaland was being formed the nagas living in manipur were requested to join the new nagaland state but they refused. Even the Rengmas in Assam were requested but they refused. For that matter even the karbis were requested to join the new state. But i would suggest that they be like karbis who have won autonomous region. Nagas of nagaland don't want integration now because of too many bloodshed have taken place and the mistrust. Maybe a time will come for another generation to make amends. The nagas of nagaland don't owe anyone anything we have already tried our best.

Nagas from neighbouring states are supposed to look at nagaland as beacon of unity and integrity but all we see is corruption, nepotism, drug and poverty. Mid to late 20th century was time when true naga leaders actually struggled to achieve something for their people. Today’s naga leaders only work to fill their pockets and feed their families. Dont get yourselves in this senseless politics, but I’d suggest the naga youths to study and make actual difference in their society.
